Amjad
same with mine mate its scruffy at the minute need to get my arse into gear and spend a full day on it lolI just spent ages the other day washing and T-Cutting the thing, I'm quite happy with the result now Being a bit OCD about it now as Summer has arrived, topping up with quick detailer and giving it quick once-overs with a lamp-mitt all the time looks nice with the exhaust and that now mate, loving the shine on the paintwork aswell i always try to polish mine but you cant really tell with silver cars MarkCheer buddy! ;)I could certainly tell with the last few pics you put up, it looked really glossy! You might like the pics I'm about to upload then if you think it looked shiny before *Small Update*I bought some Stainless Steel bolts for the Rocker Cover, Timing belt cover and Exhaust Heatshield, as the old one's were letting the freshly painted parts down a bit! Here's a few pics with the bolts and all the newly sprayed parts Here's a link for the bolt kit, I highly recommend the seller. If you want to buy it though, make sure you ask for an extra heat shield bolt & washer, as he only usually supplies the top two! Click here for shiny new bolts!Stay tuned for new pics in a minute
Amjad
After giving her a mammoth clean the other day I thought I'd get some proper pics up, as I've only been using Cameraphone pictures recently! So I whipped out the Camera and took this lot, hope you like! Oh by the way, there's like no decent places to take pictures in Cardiff (that I know of) so I had to settle with a car park lol Some close-ups, I LOVE 6P2 in the sunlight Better pics of the modified indicators/'98 lightsAnd the rest

It needs a respray though even if you did want to keep it white, there's quite a few scratches! Oh and for some reason it's pearl white, I thought Glanzas only came in 040 white like the N/As **I forgot to add I'm going to the bodyshop on Monday to get the car booked in, so this should be the last time you see the car multicoloured! **

Galliano
Fantastic work Amjad! On the cam cover bolts, are they suitable for the 5e? Interested in a set but wanna clarify my thoughts on them being fine?
Amjad
Thanks for the comments guys I appreciate it! Fantastic work Amjad! On the cam cover bolts, are they suitable for the 5e? Interested in a set but wanna clarify my thoughts on them being fine?I think they should be fine Sam! 4efe and 5efe rocker covers are interchangeable so I'm pretty sure the nuts & bolts would be the same I was gonna get the bolts from Toyota, but over time they'd corrode to the same state as the old ones, these are Stainless Steel so hopefully they'll stay shiny *NEWS* -I went to the bodyshop yesterday, the dude's chock-a-block this week fixing Porsches lol so the car's going in next Monday to get sprayed! (And possibly mopped too) -As soon as I get the car out of paint I'm booking it in for the Cat-Back system at Pro-Speed, I'll finally do away with the dodgy thing on there now! So fingers crossed I'll be okay for Japfest, but I have to refurb my wheels as well so it's gonna be one tight schedule!
ryan lang
refurbing the wheels is a couple of hours job if you can get all 4 off at the same time that is. i had to do mine 1 by 1 lmao.and y dont you get it down the bay and take sum pics?surely theres some quality pics to be had in the night down there?
Amjad
Lol someone's borrowed my axle stands so it'll 1 by 1 for me too Yeah I might pop down there when the car's sprayed up
Amjad
*Update*Well some of you many have seen these pics in another thread, where I was asking about refurbishing chrome rims. But for those of you that haven't, here's the state my wheels were in So I got on with having a go at refurbing them myself last week! It was my first time doing something like this so I was nervous I might wreck the wheels lol!I used this stuff called "Nitromors" to strip off the old Lacquer, but had to be careful not to strip the black paint! This saved me hours so I'm really glad I found it lolI then wire-brushed and sanded them down to bare metal, finishing with 1200 Wet & DryThen I polished each wheel about 5 times with Autosol to bring the rims back to their former glory! The finished product Needless to say I was chuffed they came out so well I couldn't resist taking some pics when she was sitting on steelies, it looked so weird! :harhar: Wheels just cleared the brakes!Check out the offset hahaAnd now that my wheels are nice and shiny, I decided to get some 3mm & 5mm spacers to get the stance right, here's the before picsAnd afterLooks a lot better I reckon I went down to the bodyshop in the hope that they would start on the car, but they were bogged down again! So I have to bring it back next TuesdayThen I popped down to the exhaust shop in the hope that they could squeeze me in before the car gets sprayed, but the Boss is away so that's delayed as well now! ;)I'm getting quite anxious to get it all done before Japfest, I'll be gutted if I can't
Sparky
Wheels look much better mate!!!Shame about the delays but its still 3 weeks until Japfest so you never know :harhar:
