LukeSR
do you think this would affect the imports of cars etc i kno its not that important but for eg when i got my V from japan wonder if it would of got washed away even or what.Depends if the ship had left the harbour or not yet ;)
Galliano
Most ships on the Tokyo side of japan were washed into the streets. I remember seeing a shot of it on the news, gurt off ship just sailing down what looked to be a freeway right next to businesses and homes. Its mad!Plenty of vehicles have been wiped out. Its a shame as the docks for the import cars are on seafront, as you would expect, so all are gone in that section.Good to see though, that the tsunami has ran out of breath and isn't going any further into americas inland. lew777
Wouldnt be so much carnage if they bulit there houses out of bricks and not wood
ollie ryan
i just find it strange how they are so used to earthquakes and have the best buildings in the world to deal with earthquakes but buil there homes with no foundations and then out of wood
Russleh
just watched a video via facebook ( maybe been posted here ) of a religious numpty sayin that a few days ago she pryaed for got to show all the atheists he exists and 2 days later he apparantly shook japan to show everyone. said she will continue to pray for got to show the atheists. its kinda off the real topic but it annoyed me how someone can make it out to be a good thing and pray for more of the same. Russleh
wow that video is insane. i guess alot of the houses are wood because it does the job in the normal circumstances so it wouldnt be finacially a good idea for them to build them all ready for somethin like this. just like with the snow here how we always seem to be short of gritters its because it makes no sense to buy loads for the odd occasion of loads of snow. i find it so weird to watch that video because all i keep thinkin of when i think of a wave ( even a ten metre one ) is it hitting land with a splash and then retreating back into the sea its just hard to see it on that scale. the damage and force is unbelievable. apparently the whole country has moved 10 ft
Lee_EP82
Tsunami's dont break like waves.
Lukew360
All the people talking about Pearl Harbour, what jokers. The Americans were just as bad, dropping 2 atomic bombs and killing about 300,000 people.

Russleh
yeh i know they dont break just mean its insane it just looke like an oversized normal wave . just with half an ocean behind it

Also, if it's moved 10 feet, must be bad for map books and such things.
