  1. Not a fan, sorry mate Not really what I'm after mate
  2. I dont think they have much to gain from a insurance job. Most would pay off customers and I doubt the insurance would cover there actual value ( not even sure which insurance would be responsible for the vars).
  3. Yup.. from low speeds to around 70 ish. Probably 400-500 kg weight difference. They aren't really a sporty car the vrs. The 2.0tdi is 140hp and is used in many mundane 'family' wagons and outpowers the 1.9 in a 'hottish' hatch.
  4. Yeh would have thought they'd be taiho
  5. Don't corsas also have a similar thing? Common on kit cars
  6. I used to keep up with vrs in my ignis sport. Sure the Cooper s was trying or you don't have a unknown remap?
  7. Was heavier obviously, but not something I ever struggled with. My car now has no power steering from factory and doesn't feel that much harder. Bearing in mind women, grannies, etc used to drive non pas cars years ago must people should be fine with it lol
  8. Tbh if plan on having it on all the time the electric pump is not really worth the effort. As someone said, standard is lighter, alot easier to set up and probably even feels better! I gave up with the electric pump in the end and just looped the rack. Was alot of effort for something that I could easily live without Proper way to do it would be go to a manual rack.it's a sub one ton car, bearing in mind
  9. Just have no power steering. It really isn't that hard
  10. Just wheels ideally, no rotas. HAS to be 15" 6.5j with a et higher than 35 (won't consider anything lower than this) If 6j can be et35
  11. If the shims are noisy I would definitely sort them before any mapping. Probably the same as some motorbikes
  12. I bought a clutch cable off there for my gtti and it was for lhd car
  13. Pretty sure it was a yellow wire under the tape or conduit
  14. Oil pressure plug is a spade connector with a black cover on it
  15. Sometimes it's easier to just get stuck in and do it
  16. I wouldnt attached herewith a battery tray to the wood. It needs to be bolted to so.something substantial
  17. I'd go 5-40 or 5-50 if it sees higher oil temps sometimes
  18. I would avoid the jperformance ones too, not much better if at all than the toyo ones. Save longer and go WEPR
  19. When it stops(like fuel cut) does the rev gauge go down to 0?
