  1. Just some randomers, had been on quite an adventure as it had been through a pond (more like a swamp) and up our embankment and got stuck up there until my dad helped it down. He then left it in one of our fields where it then escaped and was just casually strolling around our back garden lol Turns out it was called tinkerbell
  2. Get home from work to find this admiring the starlet randomly haha
  3. Ill let you know what mine does when its in my corolla. Your mate could have trd final drive if its different from mine. However iirc mine wasnt far from 20mph per 1000rpm
  4. Could say the same about the 5 speed tbh. 2nd and 3rd 5th have all had grinding issues on my 5 speeds. 6 speed I've got a 2nd gear crunch that im sorting out. Like you say it depends how you drive and if you give the synchro's time to do there job
  5. They have been know to strip 6th gear in levin/truenos running near stock power. But stu was running 350+ in his with no problems for years. Some do have lsd's yes (Bzr stock and an option on every other model 20v) best way to check is make sure theres a plate across the holes through the driveshaft holes if theres a 10mm pin its an open diff.
  6. Stu from aus is running a 6 speed bzr box in his 20v turbo ep70 iirc
  7. Corolla g6 4efe bolts on. G6r 4afe needs bell housing swapping Corolla Sr 3zzfe 99-01 needs bell housing swapping Levin/trueno bzr 4age needs bellhousing swapping. Corolla/celica tsport 2zzge needs bellhousing swapping. (£150) probably cheapest option tbh You can notch you selector to allow for the extra movement needed for reverse (its besides 1st on 6 speeds) If you wanted to put the extra gear in to a starlet box you would also need both input and output shafts as they are longer. Along with the casing and all the other parts so theres no point in doing this as it is way to much hass
  8. 34mpg mixed driving is pretty good. You're getting 42 but im guessing thats motor way driving?
  9. Youre getting about 34mpg id be fairly happy with that tbh
  10. I've never done it with it running. or even with the key in it. id just go around again and double check you havent got a leak.
  11. Mine are all still in my back garden haha
  12. If yours bros is anything to go by then yours should be up there with the rest for sure. Is there anywhere or sites to get good updates from gees build?
  13. Its the viscous coupling thats the main issue. It allows the power to get absorbed and not make it to the rear wheels. But id imagine if you did loose it and leave the rear diff open then you would just get one rear wheel spin, hence welding it which is suited more for drag racing.
  14. Use a image hosting site like photobucket. Then copy and paste the IMG code provided
  15. Take that as a yes then. Been telling this lot to do that for ages but no1 has listened as far as I know. Haha
  16. Theres bugger all to get. Front wishbone bushes (1 either side) Rear axle bush (1 either side) Farb bushes and droplinks. (Or upgrade it and get them anyway) Everything else is part of an upgrade, ALK panard rod, Coilovers (rear) Hardly worth the time lol
  17. Someone has fitted full IRS on a tercel so it is possible. Otherwise mikey's method is the only way to do it
  18. Could you use a thicker headgasket instead of skimming the pistons? Just means you dont have the pistons out the engine was my thinking.
  19. Easiest way to tell is on rotas the bolt holes are inline with the spoke whereas rays they are slightly offset
  20. The old tvis corolla gti's had a vacuum switch like that that ran the eco light on the dash. I still find it hard to believe though
