Asking for trouble or for fun

Tbh i wasnt sure what to expect but with a good 25-30ltrs of fuel and full interior i was quite chuffed, i guess these wheels are saving me about 20kgs aswel and no spare is another 18-19kgs. I supose if i wanted to be sneaky i could also take up the carpets and remove all the sound deadening but thats just hassle. She goes well enough for me for now
-
You would have thought you would show or mention something to do with the "RWD" conversion in the add? Could be good on the handbrake for all that video shows lol
-
Just had mine weighed, full recaro interior, 3/4's a tank of fuel, rear speakers etc. only thing missing is spare wheel which is a fair weight tbf. This is obviously with a 4age 20v in it.

Edited with a hopefully high res image, I've done this on my phone so it might not be, if not ill hop on the PC and sort it out for good!

Picture request: Starlet N/A engine bays
morgey replied to Dan_Henderson's topic in Photography Gallery
throttlebodies and heat wrap ;) naa only joking i just like whoring my engine bay even if it is quite plain -
I was doing this around a housing estate the other night, just not as quick or in a rwd tank haha
-
God i love these cars, if i ever sell my starlet the engines goin in an 86!

Hes not on about raising but lowering, vitara pistons are used in honda's to run boost as a cheap alternative to forged internals. Some cars are making 450whp on them out of sohc d16's!
-
Sweet gotta love a drift slag 13! This looks so similar to my mate tonkin's s13 he used to even have XXR's but i think hes swapped them out for something different now, hes also got an RB in his Look forward to what you do with it!

The rattles prob a heat sheild, n yes you can but 4efes are a single section from mani to back box, so you would have to cut the cat out to do it then weld it back in. In which case you may aswel just put a straight pipe in ;)
-
They might be 9:1 in a honda but thats going off of all there combustion chamber designs, also the height of the piston is a main factor ie center of wrist pin to piston top will differ between manufactures. This will be what dictates the compression ratio! I supose the stroke might matter aswel as you will need clearance on the skirt of the pistons... But if they are the same then give it a go be experimental lol

heat, ratio's, drag (bearings, friction from meshing gears) weight of rotating parts blah blah, some boxes are looser than others. the difference between my 2 dyno's i made 8hp fly, but 10-11hp wheel. not much but that means my newer box is slightly more effiecant, maybe because its newer, or has different ratio's or its higher milage im not sure.

tbh i never really veiwed this as a new site, rather than a change of name and owner. its a bit like if your local is taken over by new management its still the same old pub just with someone else running it. i still check UKSC occasionally but theres rarely any posts on there!

something along these lines should work dude, then you can get which ever nuts you like />http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-EXTENDED-WHEEL-SPLINE-HUB-STUDS-M12X1-5-62MM-/300505664338

Welcome back buddy!

They did think about it but they dont offer a mechanical handbrake option which is required for mot or something like that. Get enough people interested and they might consider looking into it
-
If you could drive like that in the snow who would ever catch you?? Lol
-
I think you can do them on the car, i think theres a small notch out on the hub meaning the stud can be removed with it in situe The other option, which SR's have standard is sleeved nuts which can be seen here About 3/4's the way down the page with a little ET sign next to them />http://www.mistertee.co.uk/6.html The thread goes down through the hole in the wheel
-
You can buy hubcentric spacers with studs in them, your studs are used to bolt on the spacer and the studs on the spacer are used to bolt on the wheel.

Yea manuals tend to rev more than autos, both my cars are around the 60mph at 3k. General rule of thumb is 20mph for every 1000rpm for a standard box
