I found that MeisterR coilovers on my CRX were perfect for the road. Many Japanese coilovers are designed for Japanese roads and race tracks which are a lot smoother than our shitty roads. MeisterR's are designed for UK roads and they're fully adjustable too. However if you want an alternative solution, you could use standard suspension and just uprate everything else such as anti roll bars, strut braces, anti lift kit, etc... that should improve the handling enough to be fine to use on the road but it still wont be great. The standard suspension is pretty poor though in my opinion. If I com

Rover 200 diesel, R reg, 94k miles, 5 door, electric windows, sun roof, central locking, alloy wheels. Item Condition: Generally good for a car of it's age (R reg) Body - good, no rust, a couple of tiny dinks which are barely noticeable. Engine - 94k miles, it has been through two turbos and a "run away" but still runs fine, I have used it for nearly the past 12 months and hasn't missed a beat. I've given it regular oil and filter changes every few months, the air filter has been changed twice and the fuel filter once since I've owned it. Interior - generally good, aside from the top of th

Toyo T1-R Proxes vs Yokohama Parada Spec 2 vs other recommendations
ste91 replied to P44YNE's topic in Alignment & Alloys
I've always used Toyo's, best tyre for the price. -
kitchen, sandwich, thx Men's insurance should be lowered as compensation for the past 30 years.

Standard wheels painted gun metal or something like that would look better.

DPF is in the exhaust just like a cat, but I'm not sure if this will have one or not. Basically you more or less want a straight through exhaust except for the back box. On the intake side, standard air boxes and panel filters are usually fine until you start going into big power. What's the intercooler like? (I assume it has one). I think these have a GT1749V which should be good for 150bhp?

Insurance is the biggest scam going, I pay a ridiculous amount for an old £500 diesel Rover, and I've been driving a few years with a few NCB. Yet a girl who can't drive for shit and has just passed pays £1000 less than me! So basically we're being charged £1000+ for having a penis.

Everyone hates Rover's. It's already had the boost turned up, decat, and a tuning box to turn up the fuel. I only said Rotas as they're fairly common (could get some 2nd hand), everyone on the Rover site likes to stick with OEM wheels and I fancy something a bit different maybe.

Just noticed on the 2nd pic you can just see the front of my sister's Starlet.

I actually really like these: But I'm not going that low, going to change the suspension to MG ZR TD shocks and springs so will only be about 20-25mm lower. Just want something a bit nicer because it's currently on some Civic wheels, I don't think they look too bad but they're seriously heavy!

Couple of new pics (sorry about the quality, camera phone):

Have you done anything for Rover/Honda? A lot of them use the same brakes (either 262mm or 282mm), might be worth looking into as they'd be compatible with a very wide range of cars (pretty much any Honda or Rover with a 4x100 stud pattern).

Looking good mate, any plans for the engine? Single turbo? What's it like in terms of driving, after going from a small light FWD hatch to a heavier RWD coupe?
-
It's an L series diesel mate, no head gasket problems here. ;) I do want some decent wheels though, I think some Rota Slipstreams wouldn't look too bad on it?

Rover 200 SDi Can be bought for pennies, tuned cheaply, are comfy yet handle quite well for a standard car. Ignore what people say about Rovers, the L series diesel is nothing like those head gasket munching petrol K series engines.
