  1. Stop fucking about, get some proper cams and rev the cunt to 9k. Looking forward to these vids
  2. It's an easy enough job if you have a dremel or you could just use a small grinding bit with a normal drill, just draw a line around the wastegate flap and then enlarge the wastegate hole being careful not to make it too big.
  3. First thing to do is get a boost gauge, just borrow one if you don't want one permanently in the car. I wouldn't recommend a fuel cut defender but that's up to you, as above, you'll need to get the air/fuel ratio checked as running lean is bad.
  4. How much boost are you running/are you going for more power or happy with how it is? If you're not planning on turning the boost up then just keep it at around 12psi, I can't remember the numbers now as it's been a while since I've been in the Starlet scene but if I remember rightly fuel cut is around 12.5-13 psi so as long as you keep it to 12psi you should be fine. If you're already doing this but suffering from boost creep then you'll need to port the wastegate But if you're planning on big power/bigger turbo/more boost then the cheapest and crudest way of doing it is to fit a fuel
  5. I'd love to buy this if I could insure it, I can't believe how much they've gone up in price, I only paid £1200 for mine a few years ago! It wasn't as mint as this one though.
  6. Can you not just replace the springs with some proper Tial ones?
  7. Why would you want to spend money on some shit doors when you could spend the money on engine/brakes/suspension?
  8. How is it? No need to get uptight about it, I just don't get why you'd want to go down that route. If that's what you want then fair enough, it will be rapid in a straight line and pull much better than a 4EFTE but the EM1 is a better base car. I'm not into this Starlet vs Honda bullshit, but I've seen both sides of the coin and personally I'd leave the B16 where it was if I were you and get your 4EFTE up and running again. Also I'd be looking at what's actually involved in doing such a swap - wiring looms, custom mounts (engine and gearbox on opposite sides), drive shafts, i
  9. If you have an EM1 why would you want to pull the engine out of that and put it into a worse chassis? In my opinion Starlets are good for two things - they are light, and the engines are good. Taking a B16 out of a Civic and putting it into a Starlet doesn't make sense when the Civic is a much better platform for 300bhp.
  10. Those throttle bodies sound fucking mint! Can't wait to see this up and running, would love to know what sort of power it's chucking out when it's finished, it's making me want a tuned N/A Starlet lol.
  11. Yes the standard Escort Cosworth turbo was a T3 for early models, later models used a T25 for faster spool. Both the T3 and T25 are fairly "old school" now, you can get newer GT series turbos that will spool much faster and are generally better. Unless you are going for big power then you're better off with a TD04. From my experience TD04's spool fast enough and can make good power - 200bhp/standard internals will be fine.
  12. My sis was up there and took that picture she said a nice Glanza has parked next to her so I said take a pic thinking it would be someone on here lol
  13. A tuned Glanza would beat a DC2 in a straight line for sure, but other than that the DC2 wins hands down, a standard Glanza isn't even on the same level.
  14. I don't think some people really know what VTEC actually does lol... no one can fucking spell it that's for sure.
  15. Most stupid statement on the internet.
  16. 300bhp N/A K20 Civic vs a remapped BMW M3 up to 160mph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKkYXb4Z7AE&feature=player_embedded
  17. That's a proper sleeper with those steelies lol 5 door as well and no spoiler, also liking the exhaust stacks on that truck in the back ground. I'm sure there was a supercharged EP91 a few years back, it was a 5EFE from what I remember. I'd imagine this would be pretty easy to set up, throw in some 4EFTE injectors, bolt the charger on (hardest part probably) stick a 2.25 inch exhaust system on it and tune it on E manage, should be good for at least standard Glanza power?
  18. There are a lot of quick Starlets and a lot of quick Civics, just because one particular tuned Glanza beat one particular tuned Civic does not mean all Glanzas are faster than Civics, it works both ways. It's hard to compare them directly though as you can say the 4AGE is comparable to the B16 and the 2ZZGE is comparable to the B18, whereas the little 4EFTE is in the same league as a turbo'd Honda D series. I'd like to see some of you "TD04 Glanza fastest car in the world" types go up against an N/A K20 swapped Civic with some bolt ons + K Pro...
  19. With those white wheels this is one of the best looking UK EP91's I've ever seen.
  20. And an automatic gearbox? ;)
  21. Not it doesn't... sorry but that one really gets on my nerves, first gear is always short so the redline comes up quite quick anyway, and then once you're on VTEC you don't come off it. If you're rolling in a higher gear, just go down a couple of gears and you're on VTEC immediately. It's the same as turbos, okay there will be a slight delay with them but it's not huge, first gear is short so you don't have to wait long, then once you're on boost just keep it planted through the gears, it's not like you have to wait for it to spool every time you change gear as long as you keep the revs
