  1. I'd be considering a diesel as well, you get used to the sound and smell of diesel after a while Mildly tuned they can be pretty nippy and still get 55+ mpg.
  2. Ran out of diesel about 2 minutes from home at 3 in the morning once. Would have pushed the fucker home but it was a slight upward slope.
  3. Was fucking laughing as soon as I saw your name on the "last reply".
  4. This isn't my car, just want some idea of what it would look like. All I want doing is the wheel colour changed to British Racing Green. Here's the pic: Thinking along the lines of a "reverse colour scheme" to the Rover 200 BRM, skeptical as to wether it'll look any good, hence the photo shop. Ch
  5. Who cares about stickers? nips and flange please
  6. A mate of mine has an under seat sub and it's not bad from what I can remember, been a while since I heard it. I think your best bet for a minimalist setup with a good sound is to rip out all the standard speakers, get a decent sub, and make some custom door cards with some component speakers. A bit of hassle I know, but the standard speaker location isn't really ideal.
  7. They aren't good at all IMO, fucking horrible cars, the pedals are shit, the gearboxes feel terrible (put a load of wet sponges in a bucket then stir it with a baseball bat and you have a Peugeot/Citroen gearbox!) Back on topic lol - try ebay for wheels, or breakers yard.
  8. A CT9 should be fine, if it fucks up just buy a TD04. ;)
  9. LOL Mate I bought you a valentines day present, sorry I haven't had chance to wrap it, here's a picture:
  10. BOV and wastegate are completely unrelated but often get confused. A wastegate is what opens when your turbo reaches whatever boost pressure it is set to run at, it allows excess exhaust gas to bypass the turbine to avoid over boosting/over speeding the turbo. A blow off valve releases pressure in the intake system, when you take your foot off the accelerator the throttle plate closes. The air in your intake system between the turbo and throttle body now wants to escape, but the only place it can go is back out through the turbo. This is what causes "chatter" but can also be bad for the turb
  11. Not bothered reading through 3 pages of this so may be repeating things that have already been said. All that Nostradamus stuff is open to interpretation, in other words, it means whatever you think it means (he doesn't actually predict things word for word, but it's written in a way that you relate it to something that happened). Also he doesn't say that the "world is going to end" but "the world as we know it". So that could mean anything. In most ways I think it's a load of bullshit, but on the other hand if you look at how the world is at the moment it's certainly possible for something
  12. Try this mate: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/boostadviser
  13. I don't know what's funnier, how shit they look, or the D15 engines.
  14. Only just seen this - love the colour! The purpleness reminds me of McChu's old Glanza if anyone remembers that? Oh and nice Razer stuff you've got on your PC
  15. Very professional as always mate. I will pop down the work shop again soon when I get a day off work.
  16. It's not and it's been reposted many times.

    ep85 snow

Watching this makes me want to build a 4WD Starlet just for the snow/winter, I hate waiting for the weather to clear up just so I can enjoy driving.
  19. There's quite a few on there for just over £100, here's one: />http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OBX-Ceramic-Racing-Headers-92-97-Toyota-Paseo-1-5L-5EFE-/200698494885?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eba8fffa5 Bike carbs/throttle bodies sound good, what bike are they from?
  20. As Si said 5EFHE cams are a good starting point, however the standard 5EFE doesn't rev very high, you'll need to remove the rev limiter (there was a guide somewhere) and if you want to be on the safe side you can change the valve springs for 4EFTE ones, then you can safely rev to 7500rpm. I don't know what intake/exhaust mods you have at the moment but with uprated cams you'll most likely want atleast an exhaust system and manifold (you can buy OBX 4-2-1 manifolds off ebay usually if you can't find a better one) and on the intake side you could use either a 4EFTE or Corolla 4EFE inlet manifold
  21. Just for a laugh can someone make me a sig with this stupidly drawn Rover 200 />http://www.superspeed-racelook.com/images/product_images/thumbnail_images/cartoons/0170rover.jpg />http://www.cartooncars.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/rover-200.jpg But change the colour of the car to silver With smoke at the back of it like this (LOL) />http://www.cartooncars.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/jb-db5.jpg and write somewhere "Rover 200 SDi" and "ste91" Thanks
  22. Personally on a daily driver I wouldn't even bother, maybe the spare wheel and skip a few meals lol. If you have the money then yeah CF body panels would be good, but in reality who wants to drive round every day with no interior? On a weekend/track day/fun car then yeah go for it, strip it bare! But on a daily driver I'd rather keep my leather seats and interior plastics. Horses for courses really, depends what you use the car for. But as a mid way point I'd say anything behind the driver's seats could go, CF bonnet, perspex windows, lightweight wheels, remove ABS/air con. That should save
