  1. *Update* Well I fitted the adjustable RARB today, and wow I could immediately tell there was a massive difference going from medium to hard! Wants to rotate much more now and it feels a lot more balanced. Only a handful of other Starlet run rear camber and I find that increases grip massively out back. Problem being is as I've mentioned above, it doesn't like to rotate at my NA did with almost the same setup (however no rear camber). Happy that I can turn down damper settings that I was using to compensate. Will be tweaking rates and seeing how I get on, but so far very impressed!
  2. Sorted. Rechecked everything and map sensor had some damage from when I was adjusting bracket, repaired and car is working fine Thanks Colin!
  3. No difference with TPS unplugged either Fuel pump prime video >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEbrw7YRT2c Could feel fast pulsations in the fuel line at the filter, normal?
  4. Just had a look around that area, looks like everything is intact. Only plug that isn't connected is a 2 wire one that I believe was for the cat temp sensor.
  5. Have you got a pic of that sensor please Colin? I'm not too clued up
  6. Had the clutch and flywheel done (also CV/ball joint). It keeps dropping revs and stalling, fitted a new map sensor which has made no difference (vacuum line is fine). Most annoying thing is its intermittent and the check engine light comes on only for a bit and no codes are stored. So I've got no idea what's causing it! Fuses are fine, earths are okay as far as I can tell. Shortly before idle problems it was only running 0.5 instead of 1 bar. Also boost gauge isn't getting a signal but I figured that may be a faulty sensor (electronic). But for that to go at the same time, I dunno.. Unplugged IACV, no difference. Running Mine's ECU, stock FPR, stock pump (could this be failing?) >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQKhNFviEyU Really want this sorted, would appreciate any help! Amjad
  7. Thanks James! Really? I've only ever removed my upper brace on the NA after having it fitted, and steering didn't feel as nice! I'm grateful you had it, old one was shockingly bad! Can't make JF1 due to uni, might come to JF2 but there's no open pitlane time
  8. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oCVuZxkg0M&app=desktop Also chased a Civic Type R in this one >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-5Efu9XGpM
  9. Thanks man! Thanks Walker96! Unfortunately demand won't put any money in the bank, broke student problems As regards to track, it did pretty well for it's power. Link posted by the man above
  10. Thanks Rich! I do, it's unused at the moment as I can't afford to run two cars. It'll be brought back on the road: if and when I can afford to run it on a multicar policy/when my brother can get a decent insurance quote on it after he passes.
  11. It means a great deal to me that you took the time you to read it Calum, thank you I daily my GT but do miss driving this little fighter!
  12. *Update* Well that has to be my longest hiatus so far! Gonna struggle to remember what's gone the past 9 months First things first, polybushes went on the new wishbones with ALK and on the car (thanks Grant!). Unfortunately the lower brace fouled the exhaust so that's sitting around waiting until I can afford to go see Dean for a solution. But the bushes made a huge difference, it got rid of that last bit of body roll that was bugging me. We also got my oil cooler core mounted up in front of the rad, however a delay in parts meant I couldn't get it plumbed in before JF2. And seeing as I wasn't on track again for a while I've left that as it is. Hoping to get it working in the next month or two before summer. Last job that day was to raise the front (albeit slightly too much) but it didn't have a ridiculous rake for once. Had the tracking done and car was handling beautifully! Unfortunately a few weeks later my turbo gave up the ghost. Got a mint CT9b from JamesD89 and had it ported and fitted with the help of Ryan Lang. Old one New Following this, I gave it an oil change at 154,000km. Also I had the sticking rear calipers rebuilt by Big Red, great service! Lastly, I stuck on the biggest Green Cotton air filter I could fit behind the grille haha (you'll spot it in pics to follow). That brings me to JF2, car performed really well on track setting a 1:31 time around Donington on Rainsport 3s. The tyres being the limiting factor now, and surprisingly not the piddly CT9! Here's a pic, with Ali_legend following in his old DC2 Unfortunately I had a few braking problems that day, due to the Gulf "racing fluid" I used. Couldn't brake as hard or late as I wanted but never mind. Had a soft pedal problem which thanks to certain peeps on here was put down to cooked fluid. Got some ATE Super 200 from ID-Workz and set about flushing the system completely. I also put some new bleed screws in on the front while I was at it. Check out the particles that were present in the old fluid below. Thankfully I had normal brakes again. But alas being an old car a few new problems creeped in. Ordered in a new ball joint and got it in and lowered the car a touch (thanks to Nick). Put in a recent order some new detailing products for the first time in ages! Autobrite Purple Velvet shampoo (which is amazing!!) and some Berry blast QD And some Gtechniq G4/G5, an amazing window sealant combo. Like Rainx but a lot better and longer lasting. Gave the car a winter protection detail consisting of a wash, clay, polish with Autoglym SRP and sealed with 2 coats of Finish Kare 1000p It's picked up a fair few battle scars since it got more use while I'm at uni but shines up well with a bit of TLC Almost up to date now, I promise haha Winter service time Was running out of FK1000p so figured I might try out a LSP that is getting massive hype at the moment, Soft99 Fusso 12 month coat dark I only gave it a very light coat on the bonnet, wings and bumper but my God is this stuff good! Easiest wax I've ever applied and removed. It fills swirls, the shine is insane and water sheeting properties are hard to beat. For £20 you really can't go wrong, here's a pic after it rained I didn't go over the whole car because I was waiting on another great product to arrive; Poorboy's Black Hole Gonna give the car a full going over with this (by hand) and then 2 coats of Fusso. Finish is gonna be crazy for sure! And my latest aquisitions, many thanks again out to ID-Workz! CC Stage 4 clutch, CC lightweight flywheel, Toyota Gbox side crank oil seal, CV joint and ball joint for passenger side (latter 4 out of shot) Nick is almost done fitting that lot and I'm due to pick up the car shortly all being well! Hopefully tweak ride height exactly where I want it (thanks Steve for the C-Spanners) this week and then a final alignment! Plans to follow include: - A pair of sticky tyres, not sure whether to go for Nankang NS2-R's or try to round up enough pennies for some AD08R's - Fitting my R-Spec MBC (thanks Azz for putting me onto it) - Getting the timing belt, water pump, rotor arm, dizzy and plugs done soon - Yellowstuff pads for the front Sorry for the essay Amjad
  13. Haha no worries That's a shame, the NS2-R are only ~£50. There is a 120/180 treadwear availability though. If I can round up enough cash I'd like the Advans, if not might try out the Nankangs. Will check it out, any other videos aside from the one above?
  14. Confusing me with Amir I think Running my GT daily! Not sure whether to go for NS2-Rs or AD08Rs
  15. What tyres did you run and how did you find them, Marc?
  16. Amjad

    ST185

Yes, early are twins. Late are single. ST205 are 4's
  17. If you do find out where to get hold of an original scoop please let me know
  18. Looking forward to hearing your feedback! Currently weighing up the AD08R vs NS2-R which are about £40/pair cheaper
  19. Can't remember ever seeing CC bumper in Silver but that is amazing! Agreed on the wheels but you're already on it!
  20. Dependant on dates and if I have money, yes!
  21. Just wondering if you can buy replacement bushes for a whiteline RARB. It's the round ones at the top of the drop links (2 on each side of the car). Alternatively are there any universal ones that fit? Thanks Amjad
  22. Not sure if it's membership related but I can't edit my bio info
  23. Nice progress and some tasty parts there! I presume you won't be a stranger to some track work?
  24. 100% agreed! I'd also get anti-lift kit and polybush the wishbones. Big difference for not a lot of money!
