  1. hey..i'm not sure if this is any help, but i have an innovate mtx-l hooked up to greddy emu directly (via the cable) and have no problems with the readings my laptop/emu and guage display read the same does emb have a direct plug in port for the afr guage cable?...then you can just set it up on the emb directly if it does also, check to make sure your cable (0-5 volt) is grounded properly, as sometimes this can cause a variance in the readings.
  2. hey lionel...how goes it? i know you have been searching on this topic for a long time now with no reward...and i'm sorry to say that i've not heard anything in my neck of the woods either. for you it seems like this may be an adaptation of some other car model track/rally quick steering package already out there if you really need it with urgency.
  3. if you are ever here again give me a hail up....will try to link up and give you a little tour
  4. that's what i'm trying to suggest to him as well...as i'm from Barbados as well and have been around these starlets since 1999/2000 hot daily temps around 30C+, relatively low octane pump gas, plus his engine does not have all the supporting mods as yet and still a lot to learn about the 4e/5e engine...we have a lot of guys here that have experience with these engines (many sold on now and moved to 4wd evos/stis),,,but i've seen some sad stories over the years and some decent builds as well....when short cuts are taken it normally does not end well (hole in block, cracked pistons, etc)
  5. another suggestion...when your new turbo set up is being tuned...use some sort of knock listening/detection device,,, remember our pump gas is not the highest octane wise
  6. leave it as it is then...when you go td04 or whatever set up, then you can do everything one time----manifold, turbo, d/pipe, 2.5 - 3 inch exhaust, fmic, management, tuning, boost controller, etc....you will also need to look at brakes, suspension, tires and possibly rear braces and rarb...etc its a long process, but best to do it right the first time or you could end up wasting a lot of money fixing problems
  7. at 10 psi...i'd leave it as it is and just do everything when you get your new set up----better usage of your money that way if you could find a cheap adjustable actuator (or a direct fit hks actuator) that would hold boost more stable than the stock ct9 actuator, then maybe you could use that and run 10psi, which is close enough to stock boost presently, what mods do you actually have on the car?
  8. take a read of the link provided for supporting mods, etc just a few questions for you: do you have those other supporting mods? what type of management are you using or planning to use?---fueling only adjustment or ignition and fuel adjustment? will you be raising boost?...if so how and by how much?
  9. as morgey said you can contact memeber "russ78" on here, he does have some of these kits sometimes at decent prices
  10. i know the ep91 and ep82 brake master cylinders are interchangeable...as i did it last year however, just double check the BMC size (its stamped on the unit itself)...because i know the turbo ep91 and some turbo ep82 are 13/16 and some turbo ep82 are 7/8 i dont know anything about the n/a models BMC sizes or servo at all...hopefully others can help you in that area
  11. i have not heard anyone really mention these koni inserts in ages now...i suspect that is why you have not really heard much seems most people just buy coilovers now to suit their budget as koni's used to be relatively expensive for a complete (front/rear) set, factoring in the front shock cutting etc.
  12. and just to give you more data to read and enlighten or confuse you http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/102072-tdtfo-numbers-and-digits-explanation/?hl=tf035#entry1190156 http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-SUBARU-FORESTER-SG5-EJ20-TURBO-OEM-TF035HM-14412AA420-/222358028078?hash=item33c5923f2e:g:DVYAAOSw44BYYZ~R&vxp=mtr just did a very quick search and they seem to sell reasonable on ebay...you may be able to source it cheaper if you decide you want one and shop around properly
  13. lots of people do,,,its been proven time and time again if you can find a tf035,,,you may be able to have the best of both worlds----from all reports its between a ct9 (response wise) and td04 (power wise) and shares the same flanges as the subaru TD04L....i'm more informed on subaru turbos the mitsubbishi tdo4 i'm not too clued about though
  14. if your turbo and bottom half are in good health, i'm thinking more along the lines of valve stem seals---which is why i asked those specific questions
  15. no, i dont know where it is now...all of this was a while ago and i can see from your profile info you are bajan
  16. do you have ac and ac fan in place? and which fmic kit are you running?
  17. a friend used one locally/barbados and it was very good performance wise with supporitng mods...this was a while back though and i dont recall which generation it was...it was eventually sold somewhere along the line it smoked, but we used a spare ct9 rebuild kit to sort it out and never had any problems afterwards.
  18. have not read the tread...what color is the smoke?...does it smoke on early morning start up (i don't mean the water vapor)?..do it smoke when you let off throttle going down hill?
  19. merry Xmas ...enjoy ...keep it safe
  20. based on your goals, i'd suggest you just use 4efte ARP headbolts....no need for any fancy and expensive drilling, retapping, etc stock bolts may even work...but ARP would be safer
  21. is this a decent flowing manifold and d/pipe? do you have the other supporting stuff?--water lines and fittings, oil return pipe, oil line and banjo bolt, preferably fmic, etc. i still advice you to get something to adjust fueling and ignition, especially if you plan to run any sort of decent boost
