  1. Will do, I can't take credit for the first part as to be honest I never touched it. I'll be doing the welding on it though. ;) Indeed, this is going as a full kit. Infact the downpipe turbo etc are all ready to go, just needs the manifold doing then the screamer pipe.
  2. Hello, Don't normally post in the other sections, but thought i'd post a few pictures of the new look manifold for 1 of our "bigger" turbo kits.
  3. A few updates Big hole for the first part of the diffuser/tank/floor. Whats going to fill the hole. Painted the floor. Hardly the pinacle fo comfort but at 3.8kg's inc the mounts who cares. Carbon door getting dirty! New driveshafts CV's are much bigger than the OE items! Still got the pedal box to mount, cage and harness bar's to do along with tonnes of other stuff.
  4. Certainly the way forward. Some more bits should arrive tomorrow. Give us a shout when you go Honda
  5. Custom liners, pistons, conrods, cylinder head. Cam's etc etc. One of our customers with a lower spec engine, smaller turbo and heavier car did last weekend on 1.5 bar (runs over 2 bar max) and won TOTB on the same boost setting last month. Cars on the front of Jap performance this month.
  6. Around 700hp on the "small" turbo in the picture. Weight will hopefully be 700kg's.
  7. Yes its annoying at times, its a good thing I don't get much time to do it though as it means we're busy. My mate actually does more on it than me most of the time. It'll take as long as it takes, i'm not in any rush. But I do want to see it up and running.
  8. Not sure, i've been building it for a year already. We don't get that much time as we'r always busy with customers cars. Theres a lot to finish inside/bodywork wise. I'm making a double diffuser and various other bits. We'r making a rather nice custom GT28 Vband turbo kit this week for a Starlet.
  9. Not Toyota but might be of interest to a few people. As you probably guessed i'm into my Hondas. Heres a few pictures of the latest incarnation of my Civic. Some previous pictures here, Here New colour under the engine bay. The complete front end can be removed with 4 bolts. Makes for much easier access and saved 16kg's. Subframe bolted in, we were going to make a tubular subframe with new steering rack, but we've had to cut a few corners or it'll never get finished! Few pic's (ignore the light its not fastened in) Still waiting for the carbon front bumper and wider wings. The front
  10. Very true, however the turbo is a great silencer. The Honda turbo's are very quiet, not when on boost though.
  11. We can do various different designed baggled sumps. To the original question an oil cooler is more likely to cause you problems than add to oil surge issues. It wouldn't act as an accumulator as it relys on pressure for the oil to flow through it. You can get an accumulator, think a couple of companies do them which work on the same priniciple as your thinking. In reality though your better off fixing the problem rather than trying to mask it IMO. Regards Ricky
  12. As above. This is your problem. What you've done is effectively fitted a HUGE bleed valve, you'd just make infinite boost.
  13. The cylinder honing doesn't look the best. What oil did you run it in on? Running 10's would certainly be washing the bores and won't have helped at all. What ring gaps did you use? What piston to wall clearance?
  14. We do intercooler kits that are setup for the TD04 turbo as well.
  15. Just a quick reply to this. Top mounts don't really make all that much difference to spool. If you work out the overall capacity of the runners and how much air the engine is moving, they take approx 0.04 seconds to fill. There is more complicated things that have an effect but to be honest there very small, and would probably go unnoticed. Turbo's are sensitive to runner length like the N/a's. Regards Ricky
  16. Yes, you can see where the cutouts go because there to give clearance to the valves.
  17. How much pressure did you get to? Sounds like the solenoid isn't working then. From the text message you sent, you do realise the car will always do 0.6 bar, regardless if the boost controller is connected but not working or not connected at all?
  18. You cannot see which is going to which ont hat picture. Have you got a picture of the wastegate?
  19. Just to say what i've said on text message and to clear thing up for other people to give advise. The Gizzmo isn't working as you said, you are running on wastegate pressure. (as you always have been) I.e. you've never had the Gizmo controlling the boost. The peak recall was 0.66 bar. One thing we did do was cable tie loose wiring and reroute it through the grommets in the bulk head rather than at the side as the wiring had already started to rub through. I'd like to bet at piping. We didn't check this as we didn't get that far. No, peak was 0.6. It also had only 15% duty on the PWM, w
  20. I run a GT40 at 2.2 bar.... Does that mean you do like me Gaz.
  21. What sensor did you change? VSS or CTS again? (coolant temp sensor)
  22. Sounds like it would be good on your car. Especially if you up the boost. There a couple of different version of the inlet, as some people wanted X or Y changing. Also they fit stock TPS but not automatic TPS's. However we can make the adapter for the auto TPS. Most went for the big throttle body. The gains over stock are minimal under 300hp, i'd advise to stay with a stock ported TB to be honest for circuit stuff as throttle modulation is better.
  23. As above, very few have done a back to back dyno test I don't think. They were aimed at the higher power market and will do little to improve below 200hp. Apart from the top of the RPM's. I could do you a custom inlet which would work better at lower RPM's/power but IMO i'd spend in other area's first if this is the case. They shouldn't be worse than the stock inlet at any power level but won't offer you massive gains. Anything over 200hp they will be excellent. The inlets have changed a little since the group buy. We now have a 15hp flow bench, so have more "real world" data. I'm still ver
  24. Think he will have nicked it I reckon theres a few more tenths left in it, i'l have another go when the kids aren't watching films on my games TV, haha.
  25. Done a 57.8, although i've only got 243hp or something?
