Still waiting for you to pull up at the milk run dude!
-
There should be an L shaped tab that slips over the battery, this has a spot in the middle which can be gently prized away... if the batteries been removed if the batteries been removed forcefully by the previous owner the chances are the tabs probably been snapped off?
-
The batteries are kinda spot welded in place the fobs themselves are sealed too... I can tell you it is possible to cut them open carefully remove the battery and replace it and stick it back together

Got a boost controller from d3n0 a few months back, spot on! Trust worthy seller. -
Engine rebuilds are more expensive. Why run the risk? Save £85 if it's inaccurate you'll cost yourself a lot more...

I paid £200 for fucked forged lump with perfect wiseco pistons and one damaged pauter rod.

How has the starlet scene changed since you joined??

I come from a time when 300bhp was the big boys figure... Race spec rockers were uber rare. Parts weren't often cheap or uk or chinky spec, they were all straight up jdm. Td04 was rare, if you done a td04 conversion it was genuinely a wow factor. K24s were deadly rare and very sought after.... The first V I bought had a price tag of around 6k without a forged lump originally when it was purchased from the lad who imported it... and forum members said it was a great price. In comparison the scene now is shit. Lol -

Tims a great guy and will go to a LOT of hassle to help you out customer of his or not. He probably thought for 99p you'd not be sending it mate.

in the south I'd go here have heared a lot of good
-
Sounds good. Would recommend having the headwork done professionally, and a set of pauter rods
-
P.s. I can see some similarities with that micra engine and a 4/5ef* engine mounts not a million miles different and the intake looks like an efe manifold. Probably more but I'm tired.
-
I meant the engine spec I'd be looking for something future proofed in terms of your goals. The ideas you have aren't impossible whatsoever and it's great to see someone looking to do something more unique. I just think with the plans you have a higher 'stage' engine if you like would be more applicable especially if you want to see the gains which are likely attainable with your build plans.
-
If your serious about it I'd be looking at a more serious engine.

Quimby I had a fake wastegate to get me by on a build once (didn't buy it as fake but it was subtlety noticeable in build quality although a good quality for a taiwan special (not special fried rice))... it worked and very well... but I'd never reccommend one over a genuine unit. Saving a few pennies will cost you a few pounds eventually. If I was after conrods it would be pauters
