  1. Starlets have studs in the hubs therefore you use wheel nuts instead of bolts like in this case. The studs in the hubs are steel and nuts are far less likely if at all to come off. So I'd go as far as to say this wouldnt happen on a starlet obviously nothing is impossible but its extremely unlikely. These most likely broke because who ever fitted them just put them on and horsed them up with a buzz gun or a bar and did not torque them. Also if you are going to use steel nuts/bolts on alloys you need ones with a collar of softer metal or you are FAR more likely to have issues as they will eat into the wheels and the wheels will come loose that way. Its likely they didnt break because they were cheap or shit its likely the broke because they were not fitted correctly.
  2. If it was mapped there then thats exactly what tuned is lol.
  3. That shell jus got scrapped yesterday i think.
  4. Ive got one pal. Im just about to go on holiday though so would have to wait until im back. Cheers
  5. Coolant temp sensor its a green plug on the thermostat housing on the right hand side of the engine above the gearbox i believe.
  6. Aye I think he meant someone told him the turbo made 223 on someone elses set up so he bought it then only got 146 at the wheels on his set up sounds bit more realistic.
  7. So your claiming dyno differences made you 80 less horse power? if you made 146 at the wheels pretty good chance something else is to blame not the dyno.
  8. We get that you want to be a bit different mate, I think what people are trying to say is that blue tipped one is fucking awful and I dont even know why its even a thing!! Its the worst exhaust tip Ive ever seen I'd rather have a tacky star shaped thing than that. You've got a class car don't ruin it by putting that horrific thing on it. Theres a difference between something being out of the ordinary and something just being plain ugly.
  9. The garage you went to with engine cutting out issues tightened down the rocker cover? Am i reading that right or did i miss something? Its hard to guess as your being slightly vague in your description. We need to know what happens when it cuts out what lights come on the dash what happens when u try starting it afterwards all of these things. Have you tried another battery? Amazing the issues a fucked battery can cause. Also. Its got fuck all to do with the catch can unless its installed horrifically wrong.
  10. I find it strange that it says that as I wouldnt say the coolant controls the temp of the engine. Surely the temp is controlled by the thermostat and the radiators ability to dissipate the heat.....meaning if waterless coolant runs at a higher temp than water, surely that makes it less efficient at dispersing the heat it is there to dissipate in the first instance. Strange
  11. Is/was your car an auto? This has nothing to do with fluid level folks it goes into the servo not the master cylinder. Theres no fluid in the servo just a rubber diaphram to increase the force you press on the pedal so the car actually stops. Its a vacuum sensor and most likely your car is either one of the later models or was previously an Auto.
  12. Yes go with WEPR dont buy one off ebay you will regret it.
  13. Wouldnt waste your money if your planning on using the standard mani.
  14. So now from looking at the thread you bumped up you mean the pipe from the recirc valve. As said in the first response to you block it off at the manifold so the mani does not draw in air. The other black pipe at the bottom of his picture makes the hi/low boost solenoid work. if you have relocated your filter I assume all the black EFI pipe work is gone so just loop the hose back onto the solenoid or remove the solenoid altogether. You then need to vent the top nipple on the actuator to the atmosphere not the recirc valve or the vac pipe on the mani.
  15. You said in your first post its a vac pipe. Now it relieves pressure which one is it? If its connected between the EFI pipe and the rocker cover then its got nothing to do with the actuator.
  16. Dont wire the fan on constantly.....fix it properly. You will do just as much damage running your car cold as overheating it. Its your thermostat by the sounds of things isn't opening either that or your water pump has chucked it.
