I'm going to look at fitting a tactical duck from the lower grill. So it directs the air to the cooler. That's what I've been thinking. But I might change to a air > water cooler at some point. On another not. Got it fired up last night. Need to finish the exhaust off tonight set the timing and take it out for a spin -
Good effort dude. Much better than shortys attempt lol I should have my 70 convertion done tomorrow. 7 days after starting it...

You can't use a 10mm stud in an m12 hole.

Helicoils are really easy to fit. Can get a bit for about £12 on eBay. Think the thread is m10x1.25 off the top of my head
-
Put a helicoil in. Probs be stronger than factory

If they keep a record going back a few years so you can see if the cars been off the road for any period would be good. You can always check tax online by punching the reg in, so only lazy people will moan about not being able to see the tax disc when viewing a car. It might affect some old people who don't do computers. It's not all bad really, change is good

The hot hope is a bit close for my liking as well. But there is not a lot of room so meh, it will do. Going to make a copper heat shield for it and lag the pipe a bit. Got a cusco front brace for it as well. Just need to take the drill to it before fitting haha Plan is to have it back on the road over the weekend. Will be a 7 day engine conversion then -
Cut the front springs and block the rear axel haha

Done a few bits to the car over the weekend. Loaded the car up with some tools after work Saturday afternoon. Then got home and took the engine out. Shorty and deebo gave me a hand slipping the new engine in Then Sunday morning I went for a ride on the bike Then I done some wringing, making intercooler. Start on exhaust. LSD box Took a bit of time sorting out intercooler piping so it all fitted in nice More to come -

It did require the lip round the servo to be rolled. I drilled the bolt holes out a bit to give it some more room. And a hammer on the chassis leg and a ridge on the bulk head. Master bolts on fine to original pipes. Real easy upgrade -
Search around for megasquit on 4efte. You will have to go to the dark side. Shows how to wire the auto one up to manual ecu

ARP headbolts, are they really worth it?
turbo Grant replied to EPnick22's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Incorrect institution is usually why they snap. People not libeling up the right parts and cleaning the bolt holes out -
If your low in coolant as well then I'd say it's defiantly heater matrix

I've got RC injectors in mine

The pully the vacum pipe off the servo and stick a cable tie down the bottom see if it's wet when you pull it out. Seen quite a few leaking masters on them.

Measured the throw on the short shifter last night. Works out to be about 110mm 3rd to 4th movement from the top of the knob -

Added in about 15mm but just done it by eye. It's made it a considerably shorter throw now. Can get some rough measurements tonight from stock to how it is now if you like -
