You can get different viscosity depending on how you want the shocks to react as well

So with the stater fitted you get the clicking noise. That indicats the solenoid is switching over. Does the stater get hot at all if you hold it in the cranking position. If it does that would indicate the armature is jammed. Strange how it doesn't turn the engine over with that fly. Plenty of people have used drilled 4e flys on 5e's. if say its more a mechanical problem rather than electrical. The fact that you had to grind the gear box to allow the engine to turn would have been the first give away for me

Must be jamming the starter motor on the fly wheel. You said it turns the engine over for about 5 seconds. Does it make a screeching noise whilst doing so? That would indicate the stater motor is to tight against the fly

Would be a good idea to prime the turbo before starting. Pull the king lead off crank the engine till you have oil running out the return and your good to fire up

You can cut the abs wires out. Won't affect your brakes. You will just have no abs and a light on the dash. Just whip the lamp out for that

You ditching the abs? A good few of them are abs. Just follow them back to what they plug into and rip out what you do t want
