The box in my starlet has the extra flange bit and I was told by Aze that it was the stronger longer 3, 4th gears. I also have a spare box that I picked up from a mk2 GT and that has the extra flange bit as well. I will strip that down at some point and count the teethe. The box in my paseo doesn't have the flange bit -

You do t need the cat on for mot. As its an import and before 96 there is no direct match in the emissions data base so the do a basic non car test. Just put your sps back on -

I've got one in mine. Only driven my car on the drive slow and it was clunking a good. I read some where ages ago there is a brand of oil that specially for LSD boxes and it makes them quieter. Normal 75w90 odd oil isn't recommended for then as the plates in the LSD not like it.

If you put a 182 on the dyno you will be very disappointed that's for sure haha they do have there problems. I've fitted engine bay wireing looms to a few. And they are a pig to do the timing belt on

Sounds like valve clearences to me. A couple might be on the big side. But if its ok when warm I wouldn't really worry about it. A tappy tapper is a happy tappet as they say. The only down side is you might be loosing .2 of a mm lift on the valve/s

Should have wound them out and cleaned the seal and piston up and take the seals and sliders out. Main reason for stcky brakes is the rust behind the seals causing them to shrink effectively. Get your self some silicone grease. It's your friend on lots of things

So started fitting my extinguisher kit. Got the bay jets in. Just need to make some brackets to hold the jets properly. Sanded down the Doobie lip for some fresh paint needs some work as its got a few cracks. But not complaining for £40 tho

In got a c56 box in my green car haha -
Just get one that 6mm pins and 16 and 28mm apart. Should do the job. I've got a full set for work and I only use about 3 of the adapters

You should be ok with the one you have. The only ones that your need a different bearing for is the orc and blitz clutches
