Put the piston at tdc and have it in gear with the wheels on the floor. Put compressed air down the spark plug hole and it will hold the valves in place with out the dropping into the bore

Don't see why you can't use the same pump. And you will need abs model washer jets as the are the other way round -

Found the return pipe and will get the temp sensor welded in the manifold next week or so -
Welder and a grinder bit of crafting and you will have 4wd. Just easyer to buy one and use that then you get the running gear without the messing about

Doesn't have to be exactly 38mm I used 51mm for mine and it's been fine

The heated rear screen is easy to wire up on a mk1 just need a switch and a relay. Rest of the wiring is already fitted.

Just loads of little bits and finishing off. Get it back rolling in the next couple of weeks.

The oem LSD works but is not as good as and after market one. The oem one IS a viscous type

I bashed the sump on my 5e driving down the road 10mins later. As jay said the high temp copper based rtv is very good. Use it on exhaust and every thing.

Give you some heads up with the other buggy. I can imagine how daunting it will be on, IVA test day.
