    Problem is, is that its only going to be worth something if a buyer is willing to put time and effort into getting it into a running car again. Its going to be someone whos specificly after a shell rather than a running car.

    It's not so much the readings that effect it, its the lifespan of the sensor.

    Maybe you got a shorter final drive? TRD hidden gem? Either that or you got a different box from something like a corolla/mr2 but not sure what the ratio's are like on these boxes.

    It's really the size of the fuel tank that doesn't help. If it had like a 60 litre tank and you was ragging it round, it would last so much longer, but they only have like a 44 L tank and even the most I've ever been able to squeeze in I think was like 38 litres.

    My dads got a R33 GTR at 600bhp, that drinks fuel and putting in £20 worth will be lucky to get 30 miles out of that! A GTST won't be as bad but still not brilliant. I'd say test drive it and see what you think is the best way. They are super expensive on parts, tax isn't bad (over here anyway) as its an import it goes under the same catagory as like 1.6-19 L engines.

    What one did you go for mate? Was it the Corolla one? If it fits I can see Tegiwa having quite a number of large orders for these

    Can't really see it that well, but thats the kinda route I would take if its what it looks like. Have rear facing end tanks and just have a bit of silicone pipe from the turbo-intercooler, with the turbo outlet pointing towards the front.

    Just going by what Dave B said. He managed like 180+ with a raised rev limit on the dyno.

    Can't seem to find a pic but I know there is a few floating around of the back of the block. You can't miss it, its the only sensor on the back of the block. The EFE engine doesn't have it threaded though, so to fit it you'll need to have that boss threaded.     Its 3rd and 4th thats different between the boxes mate. They are longer in the GT box than in the Glanza box. They use the same final drive which I believe tops out around 176mph on a stock rev limit of 7200rpm.

    What do you want on it? Any engineering company should be able to make you something.

    The knock sensor itself is on te back of the block, underneath the intake manifold. The N/A doesn't run a knock sensor as far as I'm aware. The wires should trace back to the ecu mate.

    Personally I'd bin it, it looks as if its starting to crack or atleast have stress fractures. Might still have a few miles left in it, but not at 350ft/lbs.

    Don't waste your time mate. I do Motorsport Engineering at Oxford Brookes and hate it, its nothing like I expected and wish I had done an apprenticeship. If you can do some work experience and get a feel for it in industry, if you like it then might be worth asking the company if they fancy taking you on, maybe even offer to pay for you to go to uni part time or something.

    Piston sizes

    You could opt to use 4x size 3 marked pistons ( 73.93mm) And get the bores honed, although if anything happens to the cylinders again, you will need to go oversize as this is the largest OEM piston. Or vice versa if you have marked 1 piston, use mark 2.

    I'll be interested as well. The Tegiwa ones aren't listed for a starlet, but they do have corolla, not sure if theres much difference between the 2 though.

    Was good to have a chat yesterday mate. Car is looking immense! Can't wait to see what more can be squeezed out after bigger injectors. Thanks for the indicators as well
