  1. Ha well its easy for you to buy the stuff and hand it to the mapper to fit but yeah there are loads of cool features on the det3.
  2. Yeah I know how it works id just like a diagram. have no bother figuring it out but id rather just go out knowing exactly which wires do what to save time. Have you done it before colin? Plus my alarm is negative
  3. And in the power map launch control can be activated using abs speed sensor so say after 6mph it will stop etc
  4. And yeah the high low button can be used, just tell them thats what you want. Plus then if you have a daily map and a power map, when you hit the button boost level/gain etc will change along with the map as each map has its own boost control settings
  5. Yep. Id sell the avcr and just buy another solenoid. The det3 will do what the avcr does apart from boost by gear.
  6. Nope. did you remove the clutch at all? I think your clutch disk is damaged. If it was worn you wouldnt have this problem. Clutch fork Clutch disk Thats all that's causing this going by your info
  7. You need to buy a boost solenoid if you want boost control and a switch if you want switchable maps. Then just bring the lot to who ever gonna map it and get them to wire it in. That's it
  8. No I suppose id allow another 20 for shipping at most lol
  9. Has anyone got access to these? I will be fitting my alarm but havent even looked at the wiring yet. If someone already has the info it would save me a bit of time. I searched the forum but came up empty. Thanks
  10. Ferrari is a dream car. An old one mind. Realistically probably only ever afford a mondial but the quality and luxurious materials used is what does it for me. I know they arent perfect but id give up power and thrills just to cruise in one until I could afford an engine swap and have both lol
  11. come with oem lsd as standard. With no ac or abs? Have you seen a none race spec car from japan that didn't come with ac
  12. Colin next time you see a tf that cheap bid on it for me please! Up to £50
  13. Just ordered 10 bearings for £1.50 lol looks like all the starlets my way will be getting this done for 10 each haha
  14. They are deffo over engineered. You can almost double the standard 130bhp with a good map on td04
  15. Flywheels are the same size only the contact surface diameter and the pcd of the pressure plate differ on them from 1e/2e/4e/3e/5e although 3e and 5e also differ from the rest in crank pcd. He didnt change the slave but he did bleed it after he realised the problem.
  16. Id say then going off all that, change clutch fork. Everything else is untouched..
  17. Clutch needs bleeding, master or slave is faulty, clutch fork is bent/damaged, clutch plate is bent, pressure plate is faulty/damaged, release bearing is too short. One of those lol. Shorten the list by answering this: Why did you change the box? Did you change the clutch/pressure plate? Did you use the release bearing from the old box? Did you disconnect the fluid line from the slave cylinder when you removed the box? Is the slave cylinder leaking at all? (Pull the boot off to have a closer look, should be dry)
  18. Are you losing coolant?
  19. I don't understand why you think the engine is the weakpoint?? They are 20+ year old boosted engines most running original bearings and internals. Which is why they run bearings and need rings replacing. they are put under more stress than an NA engine. So id say they are doing very well. You do get ringland failure, caused by det from bad mapping/no mapping at all and bearings in turbo 5e`s because of low oil pressure issues.
  20. Running 3 spurious headgaskets with a td05 on standard 5e internals making 300bhp lol. Mad
  21. Yeah they can control boost solenoid ;) Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.pl/itm/322167997727 Det3 link. Where I buy all mine from.
  22. I use the dipstick. Put piping onto the tube with an inline filter and put the dipstick by the fuse box. Boom. Crankcase breather. Only small I know but better than none
  23. In your situation a wideband and an ecumaster det3. Should be about £300/350 depending which wideband setup you go for. Then just fitting and mapping by tuner. Done in FIT mode the det3 is standalone fuelling and piggyback timing. Shits all over emanage stuff. Plus, like the standalone buy a solenoid and you have boost control too.
