pondering the benefits of a 6 speed gearbox conversion.
richardc9052 replied to Chops's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
3rd gear grinds in a lot of them. Caused by people who don't know how to drive getting behind the wheel. They are a soft ish box but if you double clutch and rev match (becomes natural after a while) the box will be fine.. -

td04 chra off mitsubushi fit subaru td04?
richardc9052 replied to Turbo Goose's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
If it's a tf036 chra then the td04 housings will fit won't they? -
Got my mild td04 Toyo mani and decat, already rewelded and I mean rewelded lol for £35 ;) can't go wrong for that price.. A td04 and oil lines I'll prob sort a full td04 kit for under £100 if I'm smart about it. It's funny though lads then sell them for 300+ which is sky high

Starlet Geardbox With Quaife LSD Fitted
richardc9052 replied to neilsmith's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
lol lol.. its used.. not new. so why quote the price as new? -
Nope.. my loom is made from a corolla loom so a starlet ecu wont work
-
well its a lot of fun but with the ecu limiting me to 6200rpm im caught at 105mph in 4th lol BOOOOO
-
Use the gauge off the fake one lol
-
Yep I've copied it over from TOC-irl.. Thought I might aswell I'm just having a play atm to see what it can do n/a after all the messing with piggyback ecu's I'm just going to buy a brand new one when I get the funds together and then boost ;)

I was looking for an Irish reg car due to just moving back from the UK. After a lot of looking i decided i wanted to get back into a toyota but i had plans and didnt want to have complications at nct time so i decided on a pre-93 toyota. It had to be either a Corolla or a Starlet. Fate had it, that i came across this beaut thanks to Richie the Dublin rep ;) 54K miles and off the road since 1999 1.0 3 door Starlet. <a href=" /> The engine wasnt running at the time so BimotoMan a fellow Mod and good friend offered me two things. One, to tow it the 150 miles back to my house! LE

my buddy with the Bi-moto starlet designed his own IRS setup with full adjustability.. camber, toe, castor and track width.. he still has it in his garage ready to bolt onto his next starlet..
-
wait wait ;) Its not "supposed" to be possible hahaha
-
Why not adjust base timing via dizzy? Or use the ignition setup from a carbbed engine with the advance and reverse it so it retards as you go up the revs

interesting find on fuel cut I never heard of
richardc9052 replied to mikey4410's topic in Electronics
the fcd only gets away with it because you compensate the ecu adjustments caused by the fcd sending out a lower signal by using an fpr to raise pressure.. without the map sensor there isnt and load sensor for the ecu to read so the it will follow the atmospheric pressure line on the map most likely to run lean. BUT.... try it and let us know what your findings are from the wideband.
