best 4/5e genuine inlet mani help
richardc9052 replied to jack_wetone's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
It's not all about peak figures. The tubular mani does wonders for mid range torque so when you change gear it doesn't big down. Other than ITB's it's the best inlet for 4efe -
I can get you a loom that plugs into your interior loom to fit 4efte. No need to mess with dash just unplug yours and plug the new one in. Fit engine, drive away. £130+ £15 courier

Ahh cool, I was assuming it was the same as the td04 interchangability wise
-
You could use the turbine wheel as well as the exhaust housing. That way they should match up apart from you said the lips don't match but I'm sure you could get it machined? If your really wanting to try it that is

Well.. With me I used to worry about it all the time and she was not happy when I used to go to meets or spend time working on the car. One day I got fed up and instead of *asking/telling* I just warned her that I was going out. She said nothing, said ok and everything was normal. To be honest after that the few times I have her a chance to chime in became trouble but when I tell her I'm off for a few hours, not to wait up I'm out with the lads it's all good. Doesn't happen much now because I'm married with a young daughter but she is also a lot less bothered about me going out every Monday

And sham (Bimoto) has a mines ecu with no rev limit, I've seen him do 115mph in 3rd and personally been on the car at 150mph (using gps obviously lol) Doesn't feel fun in a boxy
-
Colin some p+p don't have any rev limit. I think jack has a jam and he hasn't hit a rev limit yet.. Threw a bearing by accidentally revving it to 8800rpm while beating a porsche
-
You can do 150+ mph using a c154 and a p+p ecu with 8500rpm limit lol

Rattling/whistley noise? N/A 4EFE
richardc9052 replied to Zemerz's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Clutch release? Sounds like mine lol -
That's because you have created a base map and left it there. Now to be honest the base map would be fine as it's mapped to MAP and not TPS so it's only adding or subtracting fuel according to the air pressure. The beat thing to do is get a wideband and take the car for a run without the turbo and datalog the run and then change the map as required to get it running sweet as an n/a using 295 injectors. You won't even use most of the map. Then put the turbo on and set the map up rich. Take it for a nice easy drive coming onto and off boost at low pressure. Adjust the map, repeat. Keep doi
-
I had this recently and quite a few others have started to have the same symptoms in my area. Turned out to be very bad fuel with shit that seemed to get passed the filter and clog the injectors. With your car idling you can touch the injector and feel if any feel weak. Myself and 2 others have had to change filter and injectors bury the cars run sweet now

vaccum pipes of powersteering to Throttle body??
richardc9052 replied to Duduglanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
As above, just use two random vac ports. I did have mine looped and it worked fine but on a cold day it can cause them to stall -
Someone put Rota Bm8's on my starlet??
richardc9052 replied to Starlet-Joshy's topic in Photoshop & Graphic Design
Yep and hayashi streets are actually a copy of another wheel -
Someone put Rota Bm8's on my starlet??
richardc9052 replied to Starlet-Joshy's topic in Photoshop & Graphic Design
No they will look terrible. Don't do it. Mi want then wheels before rota even made them They look brilliant on an ep9 I actually saw them on one at the big meet last weekend. I'll see if I can dig out a pic -
Yeah I know him so I could try and arrange a phone call at some stage.. Why wouldn't the ecu manage? Most maps are done on vacuum- boost/rpm so if there's no boost it still runs perfect.. It would be like driving without a turbo on the standard ecu.. It runs perfectly. The sc he has is electronically clutched and it's off a mercedes He uses an Fcon Gold ecu with coil on plug ignition

The extension harness.. If the plugs fit then there's no problem? Whether you got a 4efte ecu or not.- 33 replies

Also his on his setup the supercharger blows through the turbo with the diverter valve on the turbo inlet so it's not choked by the supercharger. He plans on running 2 bar and I think the supercharger with his custom pulley will hit 12.7psi
-
You can't work it out that easy.. But I can get all the details off John who already has exactly what you want to build. I know he uses an RX60 ball bearing turbo but I'm not sure what rpm it spools at with the added supercharger. I do know that the ecu opens the diverter valve when the intake pressure hits a certain point which is 12psi. It's not set via rpm

Aem wideband connector
richardc9052 replied to richardc9052's topic in Specific Images & Part Numbers
I managed it thanks my other problem is my gauge had died!!!!!!! Hope the eBay seller stands up to the warranty -
I don't know if that's the same but I've just modded a 4-2-1 mani off an ae111 20v with full custom 2" stainless exhaust and the difference is massive when paired with a tubular corolla mani!!!
-
Yeah and you can "tune" the sound using different length filter piping and different filters
-
Anybody got a pic of where the wires go into the connector between the gauge and actual sensor? I forgot to unplug mine and dropped the exhaust and pulled the wires out of the connector.. It was running my lambda feed so I'm screwed now. Anyone got one? Need it ASAP
