Fuxk. I literally just cut one up today for a lad to turbo his corolla...
-
My buddy just fitted one a couple of weeks back. Bought it brand new from speedvision. No issue so far. He is very happy with it. Spools up noticeably faster than the standard Ct9 and pulls like an absolute train all through rpm range. He is using a palsport P+P and a wepr ext wastegate kit running 1 bar.

Clutch engaging problem
richardc9052 replied to Sheehy StarletGT's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I had a similar problem. The clutch disc itself was warped slightly meaning the clutch was never fully disengaged. Made it slightly difficult to select gears from a standstill, not too bad when moving, and a ticking noise from the disk touching the pressure plate -
I had a full straight through with a custom 4 branch. Mine was only 2" though so it probably wasn't as Loud.. I loved it! Was quiet enough at idle so I just used to stick it in a higher gear than usual to get I to my estate

Get an electric valve to silence the exhaust, they are less than 100 and you can have the best of both worlds ;) Or set it to open at full throttle

Back 3 windows only. Don't see the need for fronts. Unless your trying to hide from something 😂

If you want a bit of extra oomph you could use a turbo ecu and loom. The off boost part of the map which you would be using is quite aggressive. You also benefit from a knock sensor. just incase. Another tip is to get a 4afe 4 branch manifold modded to fit the 4efe. The exhaust size is perfect at 2" for that setup. Smaller and you will lose top end and any bigger and you lose low end. I ran this setup with a jdm close ratio 5efhe gearbox and was side by side with ek4 sir civics to 60mph. Absolutely destroyed other 4efe's.
-
4 speed box is a mistake. I ran 4efe with both 4 and 5 speed na boxes. Then I ran 4efe-t both 4 and 5 speed and the 4 speed kills the power and hits the Rev limiter at not much over 100mph. So it's slower all round

TF035 4cm vs 6cm turbine housing
richardc9052 replied to Androo26's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Awesome thread, i dont know how your getting away with running 14psi on a 4efe though lol -
ITB's! They are a great setup. the only thing that lets it down is the lack of revs a uk spec 4efe can offer. Even with a modified ecu you get valve float around 6500 so you cant utilise the full power band. If you get the runner and trumpet length correct though you can enjoy it with the standard 6200 limit

4efe into 1e starlet conversion
richardc9052 replied to JDMfreak's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
As above.. i did that last year after running the 4efe on both an fe and fte loom i can assure you the fte ecu runs the 4efe much better! Try to get a jap 4efe though otherwise you will get valve float up top. Plus the jap 4efe will take boost a bit better in the future ;) -
College with a 4 year old, another child on the way 100 miles per day just to get there and back with a total income of 312/week. Believe me i have already borrowed and begged i did not want to steal. Hence why i waited for this grant even though they fucked me around continuously asking for more info because i lived in the uk for 18 months out of the last 5 years. Couriers didnt want to play ball. just said the drivers put down they called to my house and nobody was here on both occasions, which is bullshit because my sitting room window looks out at the front door and i made sure my wife wa

I couldnt afford to pay for it again. thats it theres no bullshit. i was hoping to have to sort of spare cash at some point to send it through the post office but thats more expensive than the courier i couldnt afford. Yeah some people would. but im in a genuine situation. i havent fed him any bullshit so i dont see why you would question if i would send it or not? i know this has gone on for ages but that does not mean that i still do not want it resolved. Before this id bought and sold quite a lot on here smoothly Apart from a faulty item i once bought. I dont get what you mean about it b

Thats fine. Dont say anything about me not contacting you. you told me not to unless it was to say the item was sent or a refund was given. i told you i will give you both due to the hassle i have brought you due to the circumstances i am currently experiencing. You where 8 days from me sending you both as well. I told you about the fact that im struggling with money, The fact that i spent the money you sent me on 2x couriers who didnt turn up and claimed i wasnt at home so i was unable to get a refund. I have apologised in every way possible. I am in a real situation. Not one im making up to

2nd Ct9 will lag slightly more because of less pressure so you will probably get another small surge in power shortly after the first. It won't double the psi of boost because your not running them through each other but will multiply the cfm. Your going to have to work that out before you try it though -
You certainly have not done anything wrong by posting here.. I understand completely. And I would have done the same. I also wish you hadnt paid as a gift as per our convo on fb.

No I messaged him after. He has all the rights to be putting this up man. Just forgetting to mention that I messaged him last night in the comment from today is strange.
-
I was in contact with him last night lads.

glanza "lightweight" P - sport ???
richardc9052 replied to kyle_h95's topic in Specific Images & Part Numbers
They where called p-sport because they where purpose built without the luxuries for tuning companies to build them into track cars for the race series in Japan. So less poverty spec more Base model race car ;) -
And if your putting enough power down they slip and still act as an open diff. plus you get metal shavings because its basically 2 pieces of metal with springs between them putting pressure on the diff gears..
-
I wouldnt bother with them.. did a lot of reading on them before and they are a waste of money according to people who have used them lol
-
I like the way they work. IT would be cheaper to import one yourself and fit it and then get it mapped. they are about 250-300 delivered new with warranty from Texas (AEM Warehouse)

A good shock and spring setup will suit daily driving with some fast road use but if you want to hit the track often go coilovers
