  1. It can't be faulty.. It wouldn't use the standard settings if something was up it just wouldn't run or would run shite
  2. If it's oil check your pcv valve isn't stuck If it's oil check your pcv valve isn't stuck
  3. Try eBay.. I have bought two, very low mileage turbos off there for sub £50 posted each.. I have received them and they are perfect. Missed out on a freshly rebuilt one for £60 too
  4. I'd say he used the entire ct12 and just fitted the Ct9 exhaust housing Or Ct9 cartridge machined on compressor side to allow ct12 wheel and housing
  5. They are the same across a range of 90's toyota although housings may differ.
  6. I'm running a 1e starter on a 4efe with a 4efte flywheel.. Lol I'm sure they are all interchangeable
  7. I'm almost there.. T04 on a jap 100bhp 4efe but I have changed my setup and now running a custom ep82 4efte loom. It's a fucking quick combination too.. Up to 65/70mph I'm side by side with 1.6 vtec. Sir with type r cams etc.. 2 or 3 of them and all similar result! Can't wait till it's turbo lol
  8. It can if the uv resistant tape is removed from the chip and it's then exposed to sunlight. I've had a p+p open before to check chip for what it was mapped for/to with no I'll effects.. As have many others. It certainly hasnt stopped the daughter board from working as if it had the ecu wouldn't work at all. Is there any info on Fisco ecu's in general? Can you put some pictures up of yours with the cover off? (No flash)
  9. ITB's, obx 4 branch, full 2" exhaust, standalone/piggyback ecu and nitrous. Or Turbo, 2.5" exhaust, piggyback/standalone
  10. Why use a manual boost controller on a hks actuator which is already adjustable? They just introduce a small boost leak and cause the actuator to operate inefficiently
  11. Driver admitted to not looking and didn't see either motorbike or car coming. How people cannot see how fast something is coming is beyond me. Pulling out quickly after seeing that a vehicle is quite a bit up the road is a hasty and silly move. If you have sat there long enough to study the speed if other vehicles this wouldn't happen. The motorcyclist was also in the wrong for doing 100mph on a public road but who hasn't done that? He paid the price for speeding. The person driving deserves to pay the price for driving without due care and attention. Who's to say it wouldn't have happene
  12. Ambient temp was 12deg c. On both runs. Intake temp readings are taken from the maf sensor. Vehicle is a Toyota Corolla Tsport (1.8vvtli 190bhp) Without raisers: With raisers:
  13. Not quite true. There have been plenty of studies on this and I think I may be able to find datalogs from a conversation I had with a few people last week. Also why does it have to be related you your cooling system? Exhaust heat can raise under bonnet temperatures and cause heat soak through your intercooler piping and intake manifold. Also high pressure flowing over a low pressure area creates a vacuum effectively pulling air from under the bonnet.. Anyway, I'll post those logs if I can find them but at the end of the day if it doesn't matter bought to you and you don't like the look of
  14. It greatly reduces under bonnet temps and so can reduce intake temps by approx 6-8deg depending. It has a purpose. I'm not too keen on them but mine is raised from when I ran ITB's. It ran shit once the engine got hot but the raised bonnet stopped that! Left it raised because it's only going to help.
  15. I have a standard td04 one here.. Adjustable too which we should have had in the ct9 as standard
  16. Have you got fuel in it? Seriously though, try checking the float on your pump to see if it's seized. If not, trace the signal wire back to the dash, there could be a break somewhere
  17. Your looking at spending the same as buying a good 4efte really
  18. Just use motorbike carbs and an electronic lift pump with 1e dizzy and coil. Starter, gearbox, flywheel and clutch all fit you'll only have to get the injector holes filled and manifold welded up to current exhaust.
  19. I know you say you don't want a second hand one but I have one here for £10 plust postage. That way you can take your old one out and get it refurbed and still have your car on the road ;)
  20. I have one needing crank re ground, not for sale and that's how most of the 5e's out there sit, hidden, waiting to be built
