  1. None of my forged rods have come with fitting direction markings. I've used scat and maxspeeding. Just make sure they're the same orientation as standard (i.e. the lugs for the bearings face the same side of the engine as standard)
  2. My work emotions are 15x7.5j, et 17 I think (one had a flat spot in it now thanks to a near miss- need to get it repaired) The work equips reps on the 70 are 15x8j et 10 with 18 55 15's toyo proxes and they improve the handling on any car I've had them on massively. The rota BM08's are similar 15x8j et 15 I think? (could also be et10) with 185 55 15 Uniroyal rainsport 3's If I get a few mins at work i'll put some fitment pics up.
  3. They look lovely nice little collection you have there. Although the reg on the GT... TOE... hahahahaha
  4. Yeah as above what Ramses said. The TPS is on the back of the throttle body. It's has 3 wires going to it. The sensors position is adjustable. You can set it up with feeler gauges and a multimeter. I had terrible problems where I'd be in traffic and fan was cutting in etc. Then when I went to accelerate it would cut out/bog down really bad (I have a wide band and I could see it was getting no fuel). Long story short after a load of other issues were identified, turns out the TPS wasn't set correctly and was causing it to lean right out. As for the ECU coolant temp sensor there should be a gr
  5. On top of what's already been mentioned, check ECU coolant temp sensor and wiring and also TPS. when it cuts out and won't start, unplug the TPS and try it. It will idle high without the TPS plugged in mind...
  6. I want a set of these if they go into production
  7. welcome, put some photo's up!
  8. Yeah it's a pain for me too, won't let me upload photos and I can't remember my password for photobucket etc. sad face
  9. Fit them without spacers and have a look first I've ran a range of offsets, et40, all the way down to et10. The lower the offset the better in my opinion, but obviously the lower the offset the more potential for arch work needed. but 6.5j gives you quite a bit of wiggle room. running 8j et17 on the EP70 and they're mega
  10. You could drill and bolt it to the lower cross member? The two towing eyes on either side at the front?
  11. I think the seal actually sit on the dip stick tube itself and you just slide the tube back in? someone correct me if I'm wrong
  12. I've got an AHOOGA on the 70. sounds mint hahaha
  13. If it can't be fixed with sump sealer is it even worth fixing? hahaha. But yeah as nick says, a wee bit of sealant or a wee bit of engine oil to help the o ring seat properly
  14. Could be a number of things... have you checked/set the static timing? (bridge out the two pins on the diagnostic plug to lock timing, set to 10 degrees btdc) ECU coolant temp sensor? TPS? ICV? etc... unplug (or change if you have spares) one sensor at a time and see if anything changes
  15. seems to be a bit of a recurring issue with the Athena/aftermarket headgaskets... As colin says would put an OEM one on and retest... Even If the rings were worn that wouldn't allow air to pass out of a neighbouring spark plug tube. If you or a mate vape, get them to blow into a plug tube and see if any smoke comes out of anywhere it shouldn't.
  16. Fit a swirl pot... much easier to access!
  17. oooh looks so much better really finishes it off! well done for finally convincing him haha
  18. Oh exciting! have you had it down the road yet? also what skirts are those they look awesome
  19. That looks awesome good effort, not too sure about the rear headrests but they don't look bad!
  20. I'm guessing that's AJ's? I really like it but hasn't he had loads of problems with it? like its constantly got something wrong with it?
  21. No it turned out to be where the loom for the headlight loom enters/exits the car behind the passenger side wing, the grommet was not refitted after I had it out to spray. there was a good 4inch hole straight into the passenger side just behind the dash, but the hole was right below the drain from the scuttle panel. so all the water that drained from the windscreen was trailing straight into the car. it was an impressive leak lol. My fault entirely but all sorted now
  22. Haha always the way! Glad I've found out why it wouldn't start, now just tweaks to get it to run properly hopefully!
  23. Quick update on this, I swapped pretty much everything... TPS ICV Fuel Pump ECU coolant temp sensor Distributor Cap Spark Plugs Igniter Cam Pick up HT Leads (including king lead) Moved and Earthed the coilpack better IAT sensor Checked all vac lines Checked battery voltage and Attached jump leads to the battery on my GT Checked the wiring to the ECU Did a compression test (all good) Checked spark (seemed a bit weak but was sparking) Still had no joy, the same symptoms- would crank and fire but then die. So I finally bit the bullet and took the ECU out of my GT and tr
  24. I just sold a set of wheels and the lad (GT Phayer on here) got them collected from mine and delivered next day by Paisley Freight and it was about £40ish which I thought was good for 4 wheels
  25. I ran CT9 at 1 bar on an ARC top mount. was mega fun! loved it!
