Had a look at that nissan thing the other day on the topgear website, looks good. Toyota were at their peak in the 90s, endless list of great cars, supra, celica, mr2, corolla levin, chaser, mk2, aristo and our starlets. Prob others on that list aswell. Cant ever see it being that good again sadly :/

Sounds like release bearing / clutch fork issue. Gonna have to remove the gearbox to investigate. But before that check the cables move freely and that you can select all gears using the selector ontop of the gearbox.

I went to the open day at Strathclyde Uni a few years ago and looked at doing the Mechanical / Automotive Engineering course. Looked awesome, build a bike powered race car in the last year and compete against folk. Although the grades needed to get in were pretty solid lol. So patched that idea off and decided to be a Vehicle Tech instead haha.

Its pretty straight forward. Do you have a battery impact gun ? If not then you need to either get someone to hold their foot on the brake whilst you undo the hub nuts or knock the centre cap out the wheels and undo them whilst the car is on the ground with the handbrake on. Jack up the car Remove wheels Then put back on to undo the 30mm hub nuts if you need to Remove brake lines & abs sensor wire from strut Remove the two strut bolts and nuts, 19mm Give the driveshaft a little knock backwards Pull the hub towards you it'll drop down a bit Pull the shaft to the side Do the same for the ot

This happens all the time lol, its quite funny to watch actually.

Only other things i can think of are, force the pedal down and jam a pry bar between it and the seat, then leave it overnight, this normally forces any air to the calipers. Other thing being try get a shot of a pressure bleeder.

Build as much pressure up as you can and hold the pedal down whilst someone else releases the bleed nipple, pump the pedal a few times, lock the nipple and repeat a few times. Do this all round a good few times constantly topping up the reservoir.

Was the filter double sealed by accident ? Like a rubber seal from an old filter stuck to the block underneath a new seal and filter.

Is it one of these ? Look mine was stuck aswell. As i said in your other thread i had one and it was pish man, just take it off send it back get a refund and put a decent one on or a standard on.

Dont agree then lol. If you are gonna do it then do it properly by using a non pas rack and column off a low spec uk starlet.

Dont bother its shit without it, i did it and put it back in. Take the pas belt off the car and drive it about, if you like the feel of it then go ahead. You do idealy need to make some kind of loop with the old pipe ends to keep the rack lubricated or else it might seize up.

The DD idea is quite good, except you cant tax it by DD until the 1st of November which is fuckin baws. Need to tax my corolla today aswell and cant be fucked paying for 6 months when i want rid of the thing asap.
