rob_bower
Right then time for installment number 2!First thing to arrive was my HDI front mount which had been painted a few times so was in dire need of stripping and starting again. When it arrived…I forgot too get a pic of it stripped but a quick on of it all painted up.And with a stealthy HDI logo. And i fitted my Racetech thermal inlet gasket! While I was working on these I had a parcel arrive it was my new Pulleys off CJ Performance they look awesome and fitted really well. After a trip to Matt’s (socks) house to collect a starter motor and alternator off kidv’s breaker I also ended up with a new sump. The dint in the other one was niggling me so this seamed perfect Primed..And painted…and fittedand yes i know i still have the air con bracket on i will remember to take it off one day! While I had the sump off again I thought id check the crank bearings to see what state there in.Thats it for now but more to come soon!
Idrees
Nice work, the engine looks mint. Someone on here is selling a CT9 kit with Race-tech manifold at a bargain price, it would look nice in the engine bay (unless you are going TD04)?

rob_bower
Right then bee bored at home all day writing lists of things i need to buy and need/want to do and after an insiring chat with adam i thought id best bring you guys right up to date. The next thing to arrive was my hdi hot pipe for the fmic as the kit I bought was missing it. I was surprised how bad the welds were on this so after a little clean up and a quick port! it was better than ever and after a quick lick of VHT paint its looking stealthy. While I was waiting for payday I though id crack on with the car and started by finishing stripping out the engine wiring loom ready for the news one and while I was at it I stripped some of the fixings and support bars off the front end ready for a bit of paint. I also got round to refurbishing some wipers that I got off socks when I visited him. Was in dire need of some new ones after one of my other was bent by some fucktard. While I was at it I refurbished the lower arm braces as they were looking a bit tired.PaintedAs the water pump form the cj performance kit is designed for an after market pump I decided to see if I could make it wit using a spare water pump I had lying around so I removed the standard pulley off the pump and i just need to get a cheap after market pump off ebay to chop up.The next thing to arrive was my exhaust it looks like a custom made one but it looks pretty well made and it still solid so after a little clean up its ready for some heat wrap. After stripping the front end I decided to strip the crash bar back and give it a lick of paint along with the bumper supports and the bonnet latch. While I was killing time I cracked on with stripping some old lower arm down ready for poly bushing.and painted them up ready for bushesI decieded to go for a glanza loom as the spliced loom i had doesnt appear to have provisions for electric windows and the like. While I was at it I swapped the hyper revs clock surround on to the glanza clocks, SEXY!At this point I may have accidently bought a few new items that I didnt really need but my god they were worth it. Firstly was an ebay bargain of a Japspeed exhuast, a quality piece of kit for the money and looks awesome off the car. I cant decide whether to wrap it or not yet.The 2nd purchase im keeping under wraps till they arrive as they are currently lost in the TNT network somewehre around rotherham which is a little bit worrying but il assured it will be here tomorrow.Right so things left to buy/pay for:Looms (collecting at JF)CJ Performance Hose KitCambelt KitAux BeltsPolybushesDroplinks4x CV bootsExhaust rubbersHoping to have all this here and be getting the engine in by the end of may. then i just need to sort a few bodyowrk issues and source a turbo kit and it should be good to go. as always though its down to pennies and time, 2 things i dont have alot of atm.Rob
