mattyD Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 just been looking through your thread, some epic changes the work that has gone in has been awesome! loving the little custom bits! One question though, how did you attach the bonnet strut? I cant quite work it out lol Quote
rob_bower Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Sorry MattyD only just seen this. The bonnet lifters are just gt boot struts. One end is held in with tech screws to the bonnet, the other has a Ball joint with a threaded end. I made some brackets which attach to the wings and tapped them to accept the threaded ball joints. HthWell after a rushed couple of days I managed to get the car semi ready, I'd got loads of bits I wanted to get done but with work and rain I was massively behind with my to do list. But by Wednesday night it was looking like this. And after a quick bath and the run to JAE, Now it's time to think about what the plans are for the winter. So the new "to-do" list will be complied shortly. Rob Edited September 18, 2013 by rob_bower Quote
Nanglebadger Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) top of the list has to be the front bumper dude. the rest of the car is so mint and mega. roofbox FTW though! Phil. Edited September 19, 2013 by Nanglebadger Quote
TrisK Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Glanza mirrors and a lairy roof box. Not another single thing i'd change (apart from maybe a bumper repsray, although duck tape is a great match for 1ao) Quote
Nanglebadger Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) colour code the mirrors, carbon wrap or stickerbomb wrap the roof box....or something old school nasty, like an old wood panelling wrap, front bumper. Sex. Phil. edit: colour code the roof box??????? SAUCY! Edited September 19, 2013 by Nanglebadger Quote
rob_bower Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 You'll have to wait and see. But it should be good. Quote

Beastmode panda Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Nice work man. I've never understood what the deal is with the front bumper? Quote
rob_bower Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Once upon a time there was a boy with a starlet Then after fitting some glanza side skirts he decided the n/a bumper just wasn't deep enough and not wanting to make a gaylanza he decided to do something a bit different and extend the n/a bumper. After a small incident with a pheasant while on a enthusiastic drive home.Said bumper was temporarily fixed While another bumper was being made in preparation for intercoolerage. At the last show of the year (JAE) we attacked it with a sharpie. After said intercoolerage was fitted we had to butcher the new bumper to get the HDI cooler and pipes which looked awefulSo in desperation to get the car ready for japfest we went back to the pheasant damaged graffiti'd bumper cut out a section which runs up one side all the way around and then back down the opposite side. Hen as a tempory measure the holes were covered in gaffa tape for mot purposes. Then the entire bumper got covered in gaffa tape to see out the season while a sexy new bumper is being created. But that's top secret for now. That's the story of the bumper. Lol Edited September 19, 2013 by rob_bower Quote
