Nah it's not

So paying the 1.3 tax and insurance???? Really illegal and could lose your license if caught, what is the point in taking all that risk?

Insurance on a GT is £650 cheaper then the dc2 and the eg is the same £650 cheaper

If that's the case then I'd go for a GT.

Going to the EG/B18C4 is a downgrade and I think I'd be disappointed if it were me, because you're going for a car that's "the same but worse" if you know what I mean, whereas a Starlet GT is a different car altogether. Not to mention it not being down as a 1.8 on the log book.

And trust me you don't want to lose your license, you will have no hope of insuring anything good afterwards. :(

That would answer the deal for me.

As its not a fair comparrision

Id rather have the GT anyways. BUt the fact it would be properly insured and i wouldnt have to worry everytime you get pulled/MOt time etc

If the eg swap isnt declared etc then you're just asking for trouble tbh. Insurance will be void etc too if you have an accident.

Best thing to do though would be have a drive of both and see what you prefer.
