yep fella extra power and worn crank shells = public transport. paul was running near anuff your engine set up in his black gt and i must say the increases in torque that this set up produces are impresize. and yep ste would lov to show u wat it takes to produce a quality built engine. lukep knows wer thr is a place that just does second engines, we got 1 for markooses V and it was like brand new (very low milage). -

rob, im just putting the finishing touches on my corrola its a N/A with a turbo straped to it, am doing everything i can to gain power and keep things running safe, am going to push the motor to its safe limmets and see wat power and how long it lasts. hoping for around 150+ hp on around 8psi boost off the ct9. and hoping to promot the bitz u need to achieve this. the only problem with blowing a N/A is the higher comp ratio it will increase hp mainly off the mark, but will achive lower torque levels thn the 4efte . ste, lov the sound of the gt mate, plus i do a ported throttle body with the -

u boys have my full admeration, this is how u learn by getting stuck in. the oil presure should be 2.5-4.9 bar @ 3000 rpm but more towards the 4.9 if it is lower thn 3.5 u can remove the oil presure switch and shim up the spring to get better presure recomended as the presures i normaly see on this engine are around 3 bar. remember that on cold start up the filter houses a oil thermo that will give u a higher presure on cold start up thn drop and settle. -

will be boosting along side you soon fella, lov this motor and good to see a oil presure gauge in should com before boost presure gauge really on all cars do u now the presure ste or do u want me to find out for u so u can watch that bottom ends for going. -
lov it, got a data logger on my 12v atx pc in my car so all this and much more comes up on the display real time & recorded, so no need to watch the dash. but that is very cheap.
-
lov it sat here with my cock in hand this is porno, enzo i have a N/A head here would u like me to port it for u, for a small fee. should see good gains all over the rpm range. can put the turbo springs in as well as i have lots of good 1s,

yep fella 48hr labour urs took, and you should see the pile of alloy that was removed. i openend out all your inlet valve seats by about 1mm, this is 1 of the first mods that should be done to any engine the gains are thw out the rpm range, the standard 4e head are ruff as toast. just want to see som dino runs with it on. also want to try advanceing the inltet cam with a adjustable cam pully think. thr will be more bottom end power to be gained thr. enjoy ste -
a top lad and very neat work, lots of lov coming from this motor, but yep drew he had everything in place but had no clue to the set up, a good tune could see big gains. a very good day had by all a big thanks to markoos and miib 14 and paul aka chesh. think it went a little over 150-cars.
-
so sorry i missed this. this is very nice mate and good to see a track car taking shape. gutted i missed out on doing the head.
-
well in my mate, this is how u learn to do engines and no better little engine thn this little monster. get stuck in.

are thm 3 angled valve seats i can see fella, uuummmmmm. i am getting the tools to do these soon. did you gride down the inlet valve guid boss to sit flush with the port. just a little note, wen looking at the combustion chamber can u see wer the milling tool cuts the valve seat, this can be removed along with the back side of the exahust valve helps spool up and volumetric efficent of the cylinder by quite a bit if u look at the pic of your exhaust valve open u can see how it only flow around 60% of its circumfrence. also wat port velocities did u manage on the flow bench i have found that -

just got all hard fella. lov it mate. -
am up now bro, exhaust time.
-
let us agree to disagree on this point
-
gutted, no replie!!!!. with road going cars having a large ground clearance lots of cold air affect the exhaust quite abit, thw winter air is good for the induction it has the opposit affect on the exhaust in many ways.

this is a keeper socks. love people that do these things, marry me and we can make little petrol heads. xx -
i just nearly popped a little poo out at this 1, heheheheheheh, nice find lee. x x
-
just a word of warning boys the t section of the origanl system looks to me like a compensater. make sure it is not before removing, needs to be in thr if it is.
-
WOW thr mate sounds to me like u have the oil feed to the turbo on back to front. u risk turbo oil starvation if this is the case.
-
i recon i could get 1 working by just using a vac line and diaphram, and yep lee all modern car proformace or not use manifolds like these. give a much even torque range from standing all the way to the moon. has simler affects to vetec just not as aggresize
-
now we talking boys a veriable leneght manifold is the future.

Got a sensor issue on my 4E-FE
nastyrash 2003 replied to micky boy's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
have u got it in and running yet micky -
a catch can run this way will do almost nothing as the air will travel most of the time in the direction of the engine, the pcv valve does not need to be tampered with as it is after the throttle plate, and this is wat fouls with most breather systems. u need the engine gasses to travel threw the can. most people just put a filter on top of the breather engine inlet and leave the pcv in place this works very well, in all honesty this engine does not need a catch can but thy do look well in the engine bay. hope this helps chris
