  1. You have spotted some amount of starlets in the last few weeks haha. Its not my one. Ive seen this cutting about a few times too, M reg with bronze grids.
  2. Haha Paul, i'll hopefully get round soon man
  3. My GT is sitting down at my work, waiting on parts for MOT retest. I've only drivin it a few KMs but really cant wait to get it out on the road !! So much time, effort and cash has been put into it and little reward so far...
  4. Thought that car wasn't registered. I think theres only the chassis plate on the bulkhead and possibly the chassis number scribed into the bulkhead beside that.
  5. Must have been an option ?
  6. ^^^^ Burst out laughing hahaha. V is looking sweet as ever man.
  7. Thats a good bit of info there Morgey What about if you send me your diff, and i'll see if my CV cups fit ? lol.
  8. If you look closely at the documents it says it was imported in 2007, but it looks like its never been registered ? Theres a price of 600 quid on one of the documents. Maybe the colour fade is because its been sitting for so long ?
  9. It could well be a worn shock, broken spring, knackered top mount, drop link etc. CVs tend to 'click' at low speed with a bit of steering lock if they are worn.
  10. Id seen this earlier but didnt know what to make of it not being registered. Lovely looking, its that 8K9 colour.
  11. What make are the lowering springs ?
  12. I dono why but im chocking to do a wee N/a build next. They seem like a good laugh. Theres a paseo just in at a nearby scrappies, think i might go and get the 5e for a future build, hmmm.
  13. To check for wheel bearing play, jack the car up and shake, not violently, the wheel up and down. Then spin as fast as you can and listen for any grinding noise. If its a front wheel then get a pal to 'drive' the car in the air, whilst you pinpoint the noise. Make sure your hub nut is properly tight, cant remember off hand but the torque setting is around the FT area. Broken exhaust hangers, metal bits, are easy to spot. Rubber hangers might be worn or stretched causing the exhaust to bang on the rear axle. As for the gear grinding, this could well be worn syncros. Pretty common for Starlet boxes tbh. Gearbox out job, strip down, replace and rebuild. 400 + quid area for that. Or buy a good con, few and far between, box. But before you do that i'd drop and replace the gearbox oil, around 3L of 75w 90 is required. Brand of your choice.
  14. You'll have no bother with the sump, aslong as its flat, both surfaces are clean, you use a good sealant and let it dry for a reasonable time. You putting the forged motor in your own car ?
  15. Thats beast, would not mind a cheeky 6 pointer myself. Handling improved much ?
  16. I was just thinking about your set Shaun when i seen this. Take it youve had no luck with the TOMs spoiler ?
  17. Well i can pretty much guarantee that a 15 year old + FTE will have a greater leakage than 5%. Trisk, you could replace the bearings and do a leak test before you put it in the car or whatever. Providing you have / can get a loan of an air line obv.
  18. Id expect leakage on an old FTE to be a bit more than 5% tbh.
  19. Welcome to UKSO GT looks very clean.
  20. I have a similar N/a tuning fetish that i want to do to a EP8* starlet though. Keep reading through Geo's N/a build and its making me want to go all out on a N/a. Would love a Gi as a base.
  21. How many SRs do you need haha. They look sooo sweet in silver. In other news, my GT is going for its MOT retest in a few days, because the boy that MOT'd it at work must have not had his hole the night before and failed it on a list of shite really.
  22. Typimg wiht myy clwaws sis quiite diffyiclt.

  24. I turned into a warewolf.
