Looks doable. This conversion method of just swapping the engine ancillary loom works on EP8*s its the way ive done two of mine.

Strip, clean & copper grease works wonders!

I think of that every time i drive mine haha. Still doenst put me off launching it off the line at 7k rpm and then maxing the box in 5th gear! Haha. Break a halfshaft or rear diff then you can swap an AE86 rear axle in. Or even better get a IRS setup with subframe etc from a ST205 or something and weld that in instead of the live axle. If the viscous coupling dies then get a custom solid prop section made, weld the diff, and only drive in straight lines haha. Most of the gearbox internals are the same as a GT/V so its not the end of the world if syncros go. Apart from that... all is good

WEPR sale is on soon! The Zisco ramhorn manis look good, ive had a couple different TD/VF ones but after a while they start to peel / rust / flake behind the heatwrap. Also some of the welds are slightly unsightly compared to others.

Gen1 4EFE are 100ps which is 99bhp There were a couple different exhaust manifolds on the Gen1, depending on what year it is. Ive one with a massive cat in it. Like the direction you are taking with this

If you are 100% certain the noise is coming from inside the autobox then best thing to do would replace the box, you will be able to get one cheap from a breaker. Personally id just convert it to a manual.

ZEP Type2 front bumper would be the baws! If anyone fancied spending like 1k to import one. Or JAM front bumper if there are any left out there!

Replace with a braided oil feed and whilst youre at at change the turbo oil return pipe to a new silicon one.
