its a big turbo and ecu will fuel fine its just a matter of how little psi you can run on the oem ecu 3 to 4 psi ???? wont be far off its a big turbo so not worth it really

the set amount in mm will differ from turbo to turbo to get same boost levels what you do it loosen it so the actuator is just about to clip on the turbo then shorten it 5mm take it for a spin and adjust acordingly
yes i know what you mean i learned my engine stuff on the old style push rod blocks always hot on them ha ha my very first car she was a gt turbo to ( r5 ph2 )
great news always handy having old shims lying around rob why would you have sore fingers checking clearance when hot ??? no need to touch them with fingers just your feeler gauge ( when hot )
are the valves aftermarket ??? or stock if there stock its just a matter of rechimming phill thats best done hot if you set it cold it will be tighter them the spec 1s heated up !!!!!!
