klyfax
Two proposals. Do something about your silicone water hose to the turbo. The hose is going to be hard very fast, then it cracks and start leaking. Silicone and radiant heat is not good at all.And your cooler setup, you need at least 0.5" (1.5 cm) space between 2 coolers so the air can change direction and eliminate the turbulence. Otherwise the oil cooler would just block the air instead of passing through it. It will still cool the oil, but wont be very effective.Hope its readable :-D Its late :-DI like the FMIC and water cooler, looks like quality and very good. Looking forward for some video of it :-)
jayc-glanza17
cheers for the advice..but its working well after a run yesterday it cools very effectively..and their is scope to over the oil cooler either side of its position, so its easily rectifiable if I find an issue with turbulence. klyfax
No need to change something that works Around what RPM do you have full boost?
jayc-glanza17
had its first run last night..and it sounds mental on WOT with the new inlet..and its much smother as your building boost due to the torque increase. water temps sits at a nice 86 to 88c in all driving conditions, raises a little on idle obviously but fan soon brings it back to 88 vey quickly. jayc-glanza17
been busy week as weather been pukka... first of all I sorted my coilovers out getting them all correct, had one top mount different to the other, so took them all off and re fitted, also cleaned them up.. obviously not running that much camber now, was just measuring to make sure getting similar levels each side..lol Then I took headlights out as rust had started to show behind the headlights.. .. then as my front bumper is poor, I decide to cut some air holes through it.. and got rid of the black part that used to have glanza badge on.. night time shots... jayc-glanza17
been a while since updated....basically been helping russ78 with his glanza..and in doing that, russ gave me a spare head, for my future plans... however I have fitted new canards that I acquired from this forum..http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/70961-what-are-these-canards-worth/#entry900242 so I set about refurbishing them and got them looking smart, then decided gloss black was going to be their colour..heres pics of them fitted... then had a little photo shoot with a friend Saturday night, some of you local people may have seen me driving around lakeside after.. I also blocked half my 13 row oil cooler off, so can run better temps on the road.. I also have done a 15 minute session rounds brands hatch, the td05 really is laggy is you use the right gear, and can corner quickly, but the cusco lsd really came into its own coming out of the bends, could really take a tighter line..just need to to understeer slightly less and I be happy with it.. future plans, build a race spec head, with billet cams, full custom roll cage and maybe a td05-20g..if that's a tad laggy, then I get another cosworth idle valve and use my omex's anti lag.LOL...
