Good one i did a while bacn was changing a ball joint and track rod on a 306. Had the corner jacked up we were working on did thr balljoint fine but when it came to get it all back together we couldnt get the droplink anywhere near where it needed to be because with the weight on the other wheel it was working against us. Took us forever to realise haha

Ill try rob! Just a couple of pics of stuff that needs doing really. Firstly something finished Grooved discs fitted! Also highlights the fact i need the wheels refurbing! Another job to add to the list. Refurb wiper arms Cam oil seal, the same one thats gone on the daily too :/ got my engine mount off the gearbox, highlights how bad the bay is looking so will be going to town on that with a wire wheel and giving it a good going over with some rust protection. Onto the 1st mount! Decided to jump in at the deep end and just hack out the old the set about cleaning it up, did this at work whilst i had a bit of free time luckily If in doubt burn it out! Wala Been reading up on turning polyurethane and looks like it might be a bit of a challenge but i figured id jump in and force myself to learn how to do it. First attempt prior to any reading was a fail so I've stuffed a lump in the freezer to stiffen it up, made a new cutter and got a better idea on speeds and feeds for the 2nd attempt. So will update when i get a chance to try it!

One of my mates didnt do his wheel nuts up. Wheel came off bounced up a kerb hit a lamp post bounced back and smashed his windscreen true story. No dinosaurs!

Well the car is back on its wheels. cleaned and greased all the old and new poly bushes. I've now whipped off the gearbox mount and pulled the old rubber out so now i can clean it up repaint it and make my poly mounts ill get some pics if they work out! Also my wheel spacers turned up finally. Staggered 25 and 30mm, bit wider for the rear to compensate for the GT rear axle. Will need some arch rolling but will make the car look much better as the wheels are a bit lost under the arches. They look so good, be a shame to ruin them by putting them on the car lol

Most people rip them off and go with out tbh its pretty common for them to corrode

Pretty sure mines a cusco the mounts look like the lower one on here.

Hahaha thats brilliant. a good one i usually do is jack the car up before loosening the wheels. I aslo didnt do my head bolts up properly on my old 4efe so in turn blew the head gasket i had just replaced haha live and learn hey! It was my first time taking an engine apart and back together again...

Get a dry sump setup and you'll have more ground clearance ;) But seriously dont go too low and kill it haha

Compression check. 150 or above? Set base timing. Were you driving it to test the shift light or reving it on the spot?

Is it just the fins? as you can cut them out with out an issue. If youve cut into the air track (not sure on proper name) then it would obviously have needed to be welded up. If it has a boost leak and its coming from the core then I've no doubt you'll be able to send it back for a full refund anyway
