If you doss X amount of money into a car.. Are you doing it for the purpose of hoping to make it back or to enjoy the car? Everything gets devalued once used/bought/open. New cars - once they leave their showroom, boom a few grands worth has been lost already. Parts are sky high for those cars, but worth fuck all if you try and sell bits. People need to be reasonable with pricing and expectations. I spend no end of hours sat on here... Looking at people constantly bumping posts.. ? Or on Facebook.. constantly trying to sell stuff.. And it's not because people don't want it.. It's because people can't afford it. You see someone question a price? Ask how much - as soon as a price is shown, they are either knocked down or no longer heard from. I'd never buy something if I didn't think it was worth something. Someone tried to flog me a lock set for my car (as Adam mentioned)... something that they were probably going to scrap along with the rest of the car before we enquired...Yet people see $$$$$$$$!!!! Maybe I'm just too kind. But I'd happily let a few odd bits and bobs go for pence, if someone needed something. I wouldn't try and take advantage by adding a massive profit on something. I know we all want our money back, but If you're willing to throw £1000's worth into a car... are you willing to not gain it all back? I've spent a fair bit on my car, knowing that when I eventually sell it.. I won't get what I think it's worth. Because relating to this, I know people will pay 'what it's worth'. It's your pride and joy at the end of the day.. not a money maker. Unless that is what you do for a living, naming no names ;)!
