  1. I expect you'd want to mesh it slight to stop leaves and stuff going in there. Bonnet exit is hilarious, but as people say, perhaps not the most ideal.
  2. Idle control valve could be shot. Could try taking it apart and cleaning it. Or for a test you can just remove it. It will run rough for a minute or so and you will have to manually open the throttle and adjust fuel. But once a minute has passed it should idle perfectly. If it doesn't then you know it is not that.
  3. Wouldn't have thought so mate. Unless it doesn't open. The thermostat opens to cool the engine. A low temp one opens earlier and thus takes longer for an engine to warm up. This would potentially mean high idling, but not the fan. If the ac has been removed, but the connection not bridged then this will cause the fan to come on.
  4. Yeah or that too! >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuLGkXq66Bo That was what I was thinking. Due to the ease of application it's relatively cheap.
  5. That van is lush. Was that plastic coated pain? Looks really good. Nice to see everyone's rides.
  6. Seeing as I never drive the GT, I'm talking less than 500 miles since buying it 18 months ago. I have use a classic 1980's Dawes push bike as my daily: Talk about boost! When this thing hits the derailertech I tell you!
  7. Looks clean and a perfect cheap daily for someone. Glws.
  8. That evo is STUNNING! My mate has an evo 5. They're quality cars, still can't beat my brothers TD04 Ep82 though lmao.
  9. Tuning developments sell them
  10. Agree with Ollie, by warm a vehicle uo before you drive it simply means don't rape the tits off it until it is up to temperature. Doubt thats the same for a forged motor due to expansion.
  11. Jeez that's bad. He wasn't using a fake safety harness by any chance? Or is that not the case here? Back to my original point though, would the OEM seatbelt from 20 odd years ago still work as inteneded today? I can only imagine it failing after such a long period of time!
  12. Course I am joking lol. The safest thing would be to crash in a lass who has massive knockers, then hope you land into those air bags.
  13. To be fair I always thought that the seat belt in a 22 yearold car would be about as much use as a wet paper bag? I am sure mt car has been in an accident or two and thus that seatbelt has thoroughly been tested. Also add that everything has a shelf life. To bw fair if I crash my tin can car the safest thing might be to be flown through the window out of the metal death trap and into the nice soft grass. Completely unscathed of course
  14. I used some hammerite waxoyl underseal Paint it on. It's good stuff.
  15. Aye. It was give them away or throw them away. And I wasn't going to throw it away.
  16. Literally couldn't even sell mine last year. I ended up giving them away. That said by the time the chap drove up from Bude it about paid for them.
  17. My mate has had both 4 and 5. In both stock and modified form. Amazing cars. Priced about right imo. He paid this sort of price for a stock 5 lol. And this is ten times nicer. Glws
  18. Sard, tomei and various other people do them.
  19. That last post is.cool as fck love the colour!
  20. I have seen people get vehicles on the road after they have been scrapped. Even with a certificate of destruction. It is a long process but is worthwhile for a classic. If it is structually sound then it is worth doing. Nice find lol
  21. Jeromy from JD tuning os selling the best on the market. Won't be made again. Could try that.
  22. What Starlet doesn't smoke. In fact what 90's Japanese car doesn't smoke. I was watching a very sick video of this guys r32 gtr. It was pushing over 700 bhp at the wheels. And it was a stunner of a car. But even that smoked on boost. It is just the belly of the beast. If the smoke is minimal then I wouldn't cry about it.
