  1. That's sick
  2. We got a wepr TD04 Hybrid turbo that doesn't make boost till 4K mate. That idn't laggy. Even my CT9 doesn't make full boost till 4K mate so I'd say thats fine. My CT9 spools quickly but it doesn't mske full boost till 4K.
  3. Okay thanks
  4. You still have the radiator?
  5. Sorry I didn't mean to steal the thread on RX7 insurance but I still think that's utter bollox seeing as there are plenty other engines that put out more power per displacement than a fourstroke yet equate to the same insurance class!
  6. I take it there is nothing from inside the car holding the tank in that it's just going to be removing the visible stuff from underneath to let it drop?
  7. Hi Guys! I'm not liking the condition of the fuel tank on my car and want to take it off and treat any rust and give it a respray. However I've not got a clue where to start. Can someone give me some advice about how to remove the fuel tank please. Thanks.
  8. http://www.scribd.com/doc/36969270/4A-FE-Cylinder-Head Follow that guide mate and you will be alright
  9. That looks quite sick!
  10. I would have thought so. It was for a full blown track car. But the article doesn't say. This was just an example of what I am concerned about.
  11. Tell he knows that track well. Good thing about hill climbs is yes you batter the fook out your car, but only for a minute
  12. Resultant crankshaft from a lightened flywheel without properly have the whole engine rebalanced. 12'000 miles into a fresh rebuild the crank snapped due to what was 'suspected' to be a result from the lightened flywheel with no additional work done to the engine to remove the harmonics.
  13. Yeah, evos do, does it make a difference....lol. Amazing though that they have them stock.
  14. Excellent as per usual, thanks mate
  15. Plenty of EP82 shells for sale, so you could save yourself some work, and get a car that you actually want. If you're going to all the effort of dropping an engine in, then grab the shell that you'd be happy with. Will make for a really nice project. Will also save headaches further down the road Welcome back. Check the breakers section
  16. Wow okay this surprises me. I like nice, aggressive, OEM, body kit. But would I be so shocked to hear this thing is quick if it has body kit.... The fact that this has no body kit gives it a real good effect.
  17. Been there mate. I done the exact same thing on mine for the first 4 months. Just buying parts instead of doing the work. But that said, makes you appreciate the car more when it is running.
  18. Yes mate, very aggressive. I must admit, those head lights look sick. Really nice car there mate. Love that body kit it's lush
  19. That's pretty sick to be fair Nice build, love the custom work there
  20. My brother had this and it was vac leak. His idles spot on now. Also make sure there isn't any electrical load on the engine.
  21. Looking good mate.
  22. It's not rocket science. Your best friend will be your multimeter. The advice I would give is just to take your time and do it properly. When soldering make clean connections and heat shrink everything up nicely.
  23. Yeah check back tomorrow. Approval takes a while
  24. Yeah, I do have a build thread for the car on another forum that I moderate on. When it's substantial I will transfer it over, but you're more than welcome to reminise about your car on it here: http://dt125r.activeboard.com/t59212591/the-icarus-project-4efte/ It's quite a bit of work since I've bought it. Unfortunately there were a lot of things that needed to go. I think the last owner just neglected it for a few years but unless anything changes for the meanwhile I'll take good care of it.
  25. Lol. I know it's running forged internals, but no idea what components. Arp rod bolts and look like scat rods. I was amazed did you drive to Germany in this thing lmao! It was funny reading back through your posts about this car. Just the little adventures it brought you is ace. No sad to say mate this car is in dire need for body work. I've been working on the car bit by bit just sorting out all the problems. Am a far way away from how I want this car to look. But you got to give this thing some credit, it's had a hard life and it is still going strong I said when I bought this car that someone loved this car. Funny as that was you. This car had loads of history from the import date up until 2012. And then ir was completely abused after it left your hands mate. Funny now I think about it. I can see you spent money and took it to a garage when it needed work so fair play to you. I couldn't bare to let anyone work on this car so it's all down to me to fix it, and this is the first car I've ever worked on. Sorting out the problems is no small task but its worth while. As said she's in good hands and when you come to buy it off me in 10 years time it'll be as good as it was when it rolled off the boat into England those many years ago, albeit a little faster Jokes. Nah man thanks for telling me. It's interesting speaking to a previous owner and its good to see your back on the forums.
