  1. What the lads say above is correct, but now your engine has been used, the bore sizes will not be the same size as it left the factory. You will need to measure your bores, and make sure there not oval. Then if there ok order the pistons to suit. If your bores are oval, they will need machining. (Bored and honed)
  2. The evidence Jay gave is 100% clear, but seems like you wont do nothing about it? Seems like your trying the old Bradford trick....
  3. Would be faster if you were smoother! Feck me your rough on cars.
  4. Another 1000 miles before mapping? Get it mapped now theres more than enough miles on it!
  5. Ill be down with my brother. Think Mark is coming down aswell.
  6. Still sounds like the TPS is goosed? I never had any hunting issues, but i had alot of bother with getting mine setup, same as Marck, had to fle the TPS slots for the correct adjustment needed. Will it idle at all? Hot or cold?
  7. Possibly the TPS is goosed? I had a right pain in the arse with mine when i had it, the bracket was wank for the TPS!
  8. If there is no restriction as to the size of the plate IE: reccesses, regardless of import or not, then the size has to be 64mm high lettering. Been there done that, got the T-shirt a good few times now... :haha:
  9. Anyone can go quick on the road, but try and go quick on the track I agree with Wullie though, organized races on the public roads is retarded, regardless if its in industrial estates etc etc
  10. TPS adjustment. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...edure-weeJohn-* Ignition timing. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...to-set-timing-* Cams. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...mp-Installation All of the above should answer your questions.
  11. Never needed a baffled sump yet, but will look into fabbing one up soon.
  12. @ Shaun - I can assure you the civic rad out classes the oem rad in our cars, my own car holds much better temps with the civic one in there. @madmax -Learn not to be heavy footed, and learn to be smooth Towing eyes, unless you have taken the standard ones off then i cant see a reason for needing aftermarket ones. Never used swoosh gauges, so cant comment on them.
  13. 1. Oil cooler is beneficial on track, you wont beleive how quick the oil temp creeps when your out playing. 2. If your stock rad is in good condition, then it should be ok. If you get temp troubles then put a alloy Civic rad in, and yes there better for cooling. 3. Oil temp and oil pressure, is a must if tracking alot. Water temp would be next as the stock gauge is shite, once ithe stock gauge moves upwards of the middle position your already cooking the motor pretty badly. Most of all, enjoy yourself, dont be trying fast lap times to impress anyone.
  14. When was it MOT'd? Surely the MOT tester would have given an advisory on the discs if it was close? Try your local citizens advice beureu for the tax and receipt.
  15. TPS = Throttle position sensor Try another set of leads to rule them magnecors out. Ive had 2 sets fail on me.
  16. Im presuming you never built the engine then? To measure the ring gaps you will need the pistons out and rings off the pistons..... http://www.wiseco.com/PDFs/Manuals/RingEndGap.pdf Your piston to wall clearance seems a bit big according to the Wiseco spec sheet aswell. They say a PTW of .004" but if turboing or heavy nitrous use add .001" Yours is at .008" (.003 plus...) Id go back to whoever built your engine and ask for clarification.
  17. TPS adjusted ok? Ignition timing ok? Cam timing ok? What leads are you running?
  18. I wouldnt run it personally BUT its up to you weather you want to or not. Can you not get a set of plugs today?
  19. Leads on the correct way? How did you manage to set the timing with it running badly? Sounds ignition related
  20. Whats your piston to wall clerance? Whats your ring gaps? Top and Bottom?
  21. Stiff with the car off and on? Possibly the selector cables.
  22. To be honest ive no idea why the little hole is there. I never used any tiger seal on mine, just screwed the eye bolt into it. 1" will be more than plenty enough., as long as you drill through the right area. You will see what i mean when you come to do it.
  23. Sparks - The spreader plate i linked you has the bolt tacked on to the plate. Phil - Fair enough, the way i read it was the rally car only had a nut on the underside
