each to their own - been on the starlet seen long enough to have seen many engine failures because of flushing - I strongly recommend you do not flush it and im sure many will agree. the oil pickup in the sump is a gauze type pickup and can block up very very easily.

Do not flush your engine, Your oil pickup will get blocked and your engine will die from oil starvation.

i would get the injectors inspected and also change the fuel filter. Sounds like your running lean and it wont run for much longer if its leaning out. also check your fuel pump.

i call my gt The Dog as its used daily in shitty weather conditions. My glanza was called the the black slayer but its off the road during winter for a serious overhaul. When it comes back it will come back with loads more power so depending on how it drives I might have to re-name it to the supercar slayer lol.
