I would just add to the above to remove the EFI fuse so you dont fill the combustion chamber with fuel. Also you are cranking it until oil starts coming through the oil return line (the one you take off)
Dont know if i've mentioned it but watched 'Pacific Rim' recently, its not normally the kinda shit i watch but found it to be a properly decent film !! Think its on Sky atm
As above, you also need a new paper gasket for it and the big centre bolt, you will need the block tapped and threaded studs inserted to mount the housing.
Find someone local breaking a GT, reckon about 300-400 max for all the parts. Depends what their prices are like really haha. Whered you get it from anyway ?
Whoever done the conversion has put all the carbon canister bits in and stuff, reckon theve fitted the ABS aswell, theres one brake pipe there that looks iffy haha. Also bet its no forged.
Make sure and get one from the same MK of GT aswell, or you'll need swap the plug on the loom or swap the plug housing on the alternator itself, not a massive task though. MK2 have a circle plug and MK3 have a sorta oval plug.
Couple old threads on it. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/10360-my-little-rocket/ http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/74611-red-mk1-gt-on-ebay-any-infohistory/?hl=abbot#entry937779 Theres more somewhere from when Gaz owned it and the plan was 500bhp. according to those threads its Chilli Red. Anyway nice car buddy hope it can be salvaged
