People might tell ya different but id run it standard fuelling till its run in, then set it up after that.

If youre engine hasnt been run in yet id put a standard fpr on. You dont want excessive fuel / bore wash on your new motor. Ideally you want it set up on a dyno with a wideband.

Cutting the axle and adding shims seems a bit pikey to me.. Swap the axle out for a proper IRS setup. This ones a pic of a mx5 subframe, do away with the rwd stuff, plenty of aftermarket arms etc available, the wheelbase cant be far off, better brake setup, 4x100 stud pattern.

Its the maxsppeding rods im using, the dude thats gonna build my engine swears by them. He did say to buy JE pistons but i got a set of brand new in the box Wisecos for a good deal. If they dont fit i'll sell them and get JE ones... or sell the rods and go down the 5E route

Should be carry out a BET test, it wont meet the min limits. Then its goes down to if its between 92 - 95, they wont be able to find an exact match. So it gets a non CAT test which is has very lenient min values of CO = 3.5% and HC 1200ppm. I've been getting pestered to sit my MOT test for a few years now but i refuse because its far too much hassle haha.
