The big sites are ones like Jobsite, totaljobs or Monster. Alternatively you could always check NHS jobs too - there's always plenty advertised and contrary to common belief, alot of them aren't clinical roles. I'm not sure if there are any websites that specialise in construction jobs but one of the sites above can probably shed some light on it at least - that might be your best bet if that's where your experience lies! I'm also not sure what the 'benchmark' qualification is for quantity surveying, but I know that there is good money in it in the UK so might also be worth looking into

You will need additional qualifications to work in accounting. The standard ones are ACA, ACCA, CIMA. All require a series of exams and a certain amount of relevant experience in a finance role. Having a masters in mathematics may exempt you from a couple of exams but I couldn't say for sure... What do you currently do for a day job?

Definitely ignore! Like people said, if it's Council then easiest to pay up but private firms you can just ignore. I got a ticket from a private firm and just ignored it. I did research online first though, because the fine was ridiculous, like £100 for overstaying by 10 minutes. Turns out that parking tickets can only be a fair and reasonable penalty, i.e. reasonable compensation to the carpark operator for blocking up a space for longer than you paid for. But because the fines are so heavy, it's impossible for the firm to demonstrate in court anyway so they won't even bother trying to take you. When the carpark is free too like services' carparks, they don't stand any chance of successfully getting cash out of you. Fuck 'em!

Tbh a quick Google search will bring up a fair few companies around that can deal with aftermarket ECUs, like Jamie said, a remap is just a remap after all. Personally, I would consider it to be easily worth a day a on the road to end up with a quality map though. After all it's not just peak figures, it can affect the whole drivability and long-term reliability of the car too so I would rather take it to someone with some specific previous experience. That's just my 2p though, it's just what each owner prefers. There is definitely mixed feedback out there for almost every firm, hence why I'd recommend reading about before making your choice. I've read only good things on here about Will @ RDT recently so if it were mine, that'd be my choice. You certainly have no shortage of options nationwide though and I'm sure you could find someone competent who is less of a distance away

Not just Tuning Developments either, there's also RaceTech and people have been giving awesome feedback for Will @ RDT, so do a bit of reading around before you make a firm decision. All will involve a pretty hefty drive though lol

Personally I would just make the trip, even if it's a long drive. Selling the JAM would easily cover the fuel and mapping cost to get the EMB running right and when it comes to fuelling you really want it sorted by the best

Personally I would've thought a JAM ECU would be a downgrade from an EMB. As said, an EMB is properly tuned to your car while a P&P is just a generic setup. Why don't you just get the map adjusted on your EMB?

Yea using the whole loom would make sense, my thinking was just that it's worth faffing about with the n/a loom etc to save having to lay out £500 for a piggyback that isn't strictly necessary, if you're trying to work to the tightest budget possible that is. I don't doubt that the piggyback would run the best setup and future proof it though.

Surely you don't need a piggyback for a low boost conversion? Can't you just get a standard FTE ECU and splice the extra wires into the N/A loom?
