I will get Japfest out of the way and get on with them, I could do with a Glanza for a day or 2 to get every thing sorted out so there spot on as mines a bit different to the glanza. But it will get sorted! Quote

Rob H@RCH Engineering Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 I got a set of Aerocatches from Murphy177 This week so got them fitted today! Taped up and marked out first job Then cut out the ends with hole saws, saves a lot of messing about! Then used the dremel to cut the rest ou Fitted catches! Chopped down and mounted the pins I remove the catch and the cable from the slam panel and then found I had a big hole in the cooling panel that was not needed any more so I made this out of stainless to go with the cooling panel. Fitted I also had to cut the loop off the bonnet too because it would not shut once I had fitted this lol!! I also gave the head lights a good polish as they where looking a bit foggy again look much better now tho! Thats it for today! Quote

Rob H@RCH Engineering Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Well bit more of a update!! After Will my tuner at RDT.tv sugested running 8 injectors instead of 4 BIG ones I thought why the hell not! so I talked to Dean at RW-developments some time ago about making me a inlet that also had and extra fuel rail in it so I could run 4 more injectors so after a bit of twoing and throwing this is what we ended up with!! mocked up on Deans car and the final out come!! I had a ride down to Deans yesterday to get the new boost pipe made up to go with it! And today I had the bonnet sorted out, this has needed doing for some time now but it looks spot on now! Wet sanded and then polished! Washed off and dried And the finished job! Quote

Rob H@RCH Engineering Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Ive been busy this weekend making a rear strut brace!! Now I have the sportif shed it makes it so much easier to make stuff with out having to do it all on the SR!! So here's what I came up with! It has the brackets too for the harness to mount to as well! Made the mounting plates first Then put the cross bar in Made the harness brackets Fixings to mount to the rear seat belt points too made out of old bush tubes lol Then the bars, these bolt to the cross brace to make it nice and easy to remove too! Then made the cross brace! I think I spent over an hour just drilling holes!! Just a few bits to tidy up on now then its off for powder coating!! Quote
morgey Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Have/are you putting any supports on the strut tower mounts between the flat and the upright? I can't imagine they'll be much flex if any just wondering? Looks pretty solid either way! Quote
