Not necessarily. You can have a 150hp car that 'feels' quick. the sence of speed can be dictated by vibrations, sounds, the general conectivity from the car. Modern cars feel numb and false due to over packing with mod cons and comfort features so to have a quick car you need bags of power. They even put speakers in to give you engine sound because of all of this. I think youre overcomplicating my view on things tbh im really not talking about big power cars. Im talking day to day hot hatches now vs the 90's or 80's. All of todays hot hatches have to be manageable as a daily. Back in the 80

I dare say compared to this it would be very laggy. Having an electronic supercharger (assuming it actually works) you could have it off whilst cruising and as soon as you touch the throttle it would switch on and be boosting. Even from idle you could have boost -
Yeah i completely agree lap times are all well and good but its not the ne all and end all. Id rather a car felt crazy fast but wasnt than one that was quick but felt dull, boring and slow (vw are a prime example)

Tbf modern hot hatches are probably a lot quicker than the old ones. Especially on track. Look at the leon cupra R, megane 280r and 2015 civic type R. Theyre all fwd hot hatches batting on or bettering 8minute laps at the nurburg thats nearly the same as an Nsx-r and a f430 f1 and even quicker than a R33 gtr!

Theres not fluid leaking else where?

Youve been keeping the bottle topped up enough. It cant go below about 1/2 or it sucks in air. The other easily overlooked thing is mounting the calipers upside down? (Bleed nipple should be ontop)

As firm as it might seem id add the 4th mount now. Mine seems ok until its on the dyno then it moves loads. Plus if the rolla uses 4 standard what would they be like with the added torque going through them? If it were me id do it now then you wont have to grind the paint away again messing everything up after its all finished Other than that impressive stuff. Any chance of some pics of the mounts I'd just like to see how its done compared to mine?

Dont talk to me about working my arms I've been lugging around mold and press tools all day! My arms are fucked

I hate mine with no powersteering and looped lines. Im putting an electric pump on because i cant fit the belt driven on in
-
Yeah id defo sort your handling 1st. Are you running p/s or is yours a manual rack?
-
Theyre not too bad to fit. Took an afternoon including checking clearances before and after i only dropped these in on the oem pulleys so probably not as setup as they could be. Only thing i forgot to do was put some sealant in and around the cam and endcaps so have a slight oil leak. In terms for cost for power these are around £500 here and mapped can see upto 12-15whp. My manifold, trumpets and filter cost about the same and gained around 10whp aswell.
-
If you could. I did look at mine and they looked a bit pitted but not too bad. I've looked at them sq ones and some reviews and they seem to be spot on. Well worth the money it would seem. Drivability is okish theres a flat spot around 3k or vvt change over. I think it needs mapping out but it is bareable and after 3k it revs out fine. Had the fueling checked and its still spot on. Vvt remains yes. Tomei poncams 264 256 not sure on lift maybe around 9mm? Not sure which duration is inlet and exhaust though.

Not a bad figure, was about what mine made with just an exhuast. Decent manifold and a set of trumpets bagged me about another 10whp and cams made another 6whp still running the auto ecu. I could probably do with giving my dizzy an overhaul now I've seen this!
