I know I've been looking at the passenger side pipe but it would take some work to get it shorter. The main reason is the rad is right in the bloody way. I might come up with a cunning plan tho?

Might as well keep the updates coming as I'm moving quite fast now. Finished making the hot pipe up, also welded some AN fittings to the N/A rocker cover. Made a start on the fuel swirl pot. Will be running a bosch 044 pump. Probs wont really need a pump of that size but it will do no harm. Just be noisey haha Waiting on some roose hoses and joiner that should be with me tomorrow

I've used a few sip welders and they are fine for the odd job. I've welded a whole inner and outer sill on an old metro using a sip gasless. With welders you pay for what you get tho.

Little bit of an update. Started on some of the welding tonight. Hasn't come out too bad since I can count the times I've welded alloy on one hand

That welder you put in the link should do the job. It uses gas and if your welding outside with wind then you can use the gasless wire
-
Looks nice and clean. You will get plenty of help on this site

That's just the sort of thing you want to get. Best to go for a sip or clack some thing branded ideally. They are good welders for hobby use. Even the gas-less ones do a good job. But then your limited to what wire you can use and the wire is pricey.

Some thing like this in eBay will do the job. Just an item number 170911590664

HELP!! What fittings would I need???
turbo Grant replied to stucat87's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
If you measure the id of the hose you have then you can work out what size fittings you need. Most people use -8 or -10 fittings. You could probs get away with using push on fitting if they are the same size as the hose your using -
I thought the vf series turbos tend to shit them selves after 1.4 bar? And for the engine it will set you back 2k easy.
