rob_bower
no mate and getting even closer now. so as you saw i had a slightly used looking racetech td04 kit after speaking with Liam_D about fettling the turbo he said they could clean it all up at work, with the rest of the bay looing so good i didnt want the turbo kit letting it down. So i arranged to drop it down with Liam, Keiran and the res tof the guys at midland turbo.so from this......To this.....i cant believe how well its come up it looks like new. cant wait to get it fitted, and thanks again to Liam and Keiran for there awesome work.Rob

rob_bower
right then lets get this up to date....seen as the race-logo was looking a little battered so it was off to ricky and the guys to have a new version welded onnext on the list was some rad brakets and while i was at it i shaved the bottom rubber inserts down to give i little more clearance on the bonnet seen as the n/a one is shorter than the v.after that i fabbed up some some mounting brackets for the intercooler.and then sorted out the pipework but i made the first school boy error of the entire conversion and ordered the wrong size hose clamps Next job i thought id attack was refurbishing the hubs, started by stripping the hub off stripping everything off and cleaning it up. first thing off was the dust shield which was trashed...depending on what brakes i go for i might knock some new ones up from stanless steel but we will see. After that i finished cleaning up the hub and gave it a lick of hammerite...while i was waiting for the paint to dry i decided to attack the front bumper to try and get it to fit with the HDi cooler, it took a lot of trimming but i got it pretty close.then i decided to get the exhaust bolted on been sat wrapped up for far to long.Looks awesome i also bagged a new piece of the jigsaw as any FB'ers may have seenas for the jobs listFinish Pugging in the loom. Keep it up wish mine was that clean! It might get some TLC over the winter but I'm enjoying driving it too much to clean it lol
