Taggy Posted November 28, 2011 Author Share Posted November 28, 2011 Ha ha i could underseal it my self, but its a pain in the ass and to do it properly it needs to be done on a ramp, i dont fancy trying to jack it up and making a right mess trying to do it my self laying on my back on the floor! Cant be arsed with a brush lols, and yes that beam is gonna get it too!The underside is actually in not bad nick, it has got very light surface rust spots speckled everywhere, but they rubb off easy so looks like undersealing now is a good time.Thats a job for the weekend then, just gonna sit by my front door now waiting for my post manLooking good an paint the rear beam !!!John Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Taggy Posted November 29, 2011 Author Share Posted November 29, 2011 I thought that at first too so i drove careful with it, but once you hit about 4000rpm it seems the turbo hits terminal velocity and doesnt sound like its spinning any faster.Its the same if the wastegate is open i guess, even if your doing 8000rpm the turbo is still blowing as much as it can, just its dumping it down the exhuast. It doesnt spool up faster and faster to self destruct I think the natural wind resistence on turning the impeller will limit that.anyway i would prefer my intercooler on!!although im guessing you have to be dead gentle as because there is no vacuum in the inlet, the actuator will never open the wastegatemeaning the turbo will boost forever? I still cant believe we got it all in.If it wasnt so wankin dark after work i would have had pics up this evening I will get a load tomorrow, I just need to wire back in my Greedy FCD before i drive it, but otherwise its good to go Will let you know tomorrow!
