  1. when i had my 6 speed i had to really push hard to get it into 6th. are you been man enough with your knob geo haha
  2. i have the heavy duty wms kit and its spot on. loads of stopping power. you put any 4 pot kit on a light car like a starlet and its going to stop on its nose.
  3. ahhh you never got it mapped at 1.5 bar noooooo!!
  4. nice one bum boy! it will have more power than the starlet before long! haha. it was a right smoke machine on the old turbo when i seen it in town haha. nice car this and it handles well too, nice and firm suspension.
  5. I've got a brand new toyota head gasket here mate you can have cheap. Head skim is only cheap. Wont cost much if you do it yourself. I have a mate who rebuilds heads if you want that done, he can port and polish it too if you like. Really good prices
  6. yeah no probs mate. i still havent had a wheel alignment done since i put the meisters, track rod ends, and bottom ball joints on so i could do with getting that sorted out. have you built your 5e yet? so much better than a 4e. im spooling the vf35 faster than a td04 on a 4e. i keep meaning to get my mate to take some vids as ive got a hd video cam. but stuff keeps coming up.
  7. cheers John! would have been better if they waited until the car is finished though. if it ever will be. haha me too dude! ive been waiting months for this 4wd dyno to be built and its just not getting done! the rollers are at an enginering company where they have sat for months! they are suposed to be machining the grooves into them. they said it would be done in march! ive done a few bits over the past couple of months: -fitted oem aero rear spats -fitted GT spoiler, getting the stock one off was a bit of a mission -made up my braided lines for the hks fuel rail -got some different inje
  8. i think i will be there.
  9. if you bought a zisco or racetech kit you would still have had the same fitment problems with your exhaust. its nothing to do with sacha not making or sending you the right downpipe its because you have some sort of custom/modified exhaust and down pipe previously. theres no way he could have made you something up that would have been a direct fit without him making it up on your car. just go to an exhaust place and get your exhaust modified, job done.
  10. i could prob make it down so long as im not working
  11. i wouldnt say stock pistons and rings are shit at all. theres loads of starlets running 100+bhp over their stock power out put from the factory, with some of these engines over 20 years old now. i ran a td05 setup for around 2 years with no issues ect. or look at mini valvers making 252bhp, that gets abuse every time its taken out, its seen 165mph a few times now too, last 1/4 mile day it did 25 runs maybe more no bother. something must have been wrong with your engine for it to fail all of a sudden on the rollers.
  12. i still dont understand the full story with swapping gears and changing final drives and stuff. you want rid of the 4wd first gear though, its mental you could climb up the side of Everest with it no bother i recon!
  13. these are alot different drive to gt's glanzas. these are more fun on back roads through the corners that sort of thing than flying about on motorways, duel carriageways ect due to the short gears and your always sitting higher in the revs so no high speed runs, pulls ect. if you already have the setup you might as well try it and see how it drives and how it suits you. my 5e is really responsive and spools the vf35 quicker than a 4e spools a td04l so i dont need to drop gears or put my foot down to get decent boost.
  14. mines running a vf35 on a 5e, im only running a bar through it atm though. the best thing to do is try the turbo. everyone thinks the turbo they have is the best one anyones ever put on a starlet. just try it and see if you like it, if not try something else.
  15. i think these handle better when they have a bit of power running through them. when mine was running ct9 setup i didnt like it at all, it didnt feel nice pushing it round bends but now its miles better. i had it pushing out of some bends the other night haha
  16. i ct9 will have dropped right off ages before 8.2 anyway no point revving so high.
  17. im looking forward to checking this beast out at japshow!!
  18. well im def coming down for the whole weekend guys but not in my starlet so hopefully i will see some of you guys on the stand!
  19. i removed the engine, all lights, dash clutcster and a few other random bits and pieces and then scrapped the car and got 90 quid for the rest just over a year ago.
  20. nice work! hopefully i will get to check this beast out on japshow!
  21. so a stolen car on the motor way.. do you really think they will be sitting at 70mph??
  22. following a stolen car at high speed on the motorway??? hmmmm good idea that would be the worst possible thing to do!!
  23. im planning on going.
  24. there not even that good, ive seen a few of them crack. they look nice though.
