  1. what does the bike can sound like? better than a normal car exhaust?
  2. i have a clifford as well, never had a problem. but they are complicated and if they start to play up i can imagine it being a headache. proximity sensors can be adjusted, so i think its all good
  3. i think they are around 750 new but some second hand ones come up sometimes 480-550
  4. did you prime the engine before starting? it takes a good while turning over before the engine is ready to start ( best way is to remove efi fuse) just make sure you do it on the new one. I always do it if i dont start the car for more than a couple of weeks.
  5. have you replaced the o2 sensor or the mass air flow??
  6. Its not just about one of the rear wheels rubbing. If its not rubbing, its still out of line and your car will be crabbing because the rear wheels are not in line with thr front. If your going to lower your car do it properly
  7. You will need a adjustable panhard rod, to bring the rear axle back in line
  8. From now on picture updates only dude Looking very good and after all the time and effort it will be worth it
  9. Long term effects are the turbo is put under a bit more strain and if your putting your foot down at low rpm then the clutch will be put under more strain as well. If your doing high mileage then just leave as they come in terms of tuning. as you have noticed they start playing up because these modern diesels run high pressures Egr delete keep oil cleaner for longer and car smokes less as well when standard.
  10. Nice to see your back in a starlet dude Good progress already, this ep82 looks real clean.
  11. This was on watchdog a while back, lots a cars are vunerable Ford and other manufacturers need to get there act together
  12. It might be the extra strain that is being put on the clutch slave cylinder that will be causing the problems
  13. i would cable ties or clips on the wastegate hoses, seen too many pop off and blow up engines. looking nice, that manifold is a peice of art
  14. the shorter the intercooler piping the better spool time. the larger diameter will take a tiny amount of spool away but will help when boost it turned up because turbo can flow better. one of the reasons why people get front mount intercooler for starlet is because it will bring down air temps when boosting, which is better for gaining power. the top mount is restrictive and not power efficient plus you have more size options with a front mount and it looks better hope that helps
  15. If it's not using any oil then I would not be concerned, Many things can change the power output especially without management. Temperatures, condition of the turbo, holding boost, map sensor working properly..............just too many variables. Hence why every map is best suited to that engine. Also when it's mapped and you find weaknesses as well
  16. ^^ agreed, it completely changes the car. Faster spool time, general throttle response with ultimate power and torque greatly increased. Not forgetting better mpg. you got everything you need for emanage, so just do it.
  17. First page on this build will give you an idea of what I mean. Bush is fitted inside the steel ring http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/67180-jords-v-400bhp-build/
  18. You have to burn them out, you need to keep the O ring for the new bushing. I'm sure someone made a thread about it. Will try to find it
  19. When it comes to mapping , Ricky at racetech all day long
  20. Put some pictures up of the earths. I think starlets do come with transponder box, it's for the key. It has be the original starlet key or a key that has been programmed for that box. For example black box on right next to ecu http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/330919821933?nav=SEARCH
