Socks
I have watched that video on your Instagram about 20 times haha what a noisehehe Well, didn't see this coming to be honest...The Crank Seal has been replaced twice now, and it still has a very slight weep.So Ricky did some investigation work end of this week and found that it was ON BOOST driving that caused it to weep. Suggesting that the higher boost pressure, (2.2bar) is giving us much more crank case pressure, forcing oil past the seal...So the rocker cover came off.... The Internal Baffle was removed, then we could see just how blocked and gunged up it was!Yep, that's disgusting. Its an area you CAN NOT get too to clean out unless you drill the baffle out.So while it was off, I got them to add a 3rd Breather to the cover with a new custom baffle. So Now...3 Breather Fittings and Lines to my Catch Tank now...The car was then strapped down on the dyno to be checked out...The oil wasn't leaking and when it was warmed up, Ricky did 2-3 pulls...Resulting In:431.1bhp / 327.6lb-ft @ 2.2bar! Jeez! So my advice is, get that baffled removed, cleaned and a custom one put back in there. Always make sure your breather system is big enough to cater for the boost pressure your running! The theory I believe is pressure in the case, acts on the bottom of the pistons. So you have positive boost on top, in my case 2.2bar but had pressure on the bottom fighting against it. As a result the cars picked up an additional 5bhp and 13lb-ft! Minimal I know, but just by engineering a breather system, is pretty good going! In Other News. Took a ride out to the seafront (Cleethorpes) last night, the car was a hoot. Had a fun time, met someone in a silver V I spoke too briefly. However the car was just putting smiles on my face all night. Didn't realise how much I missed it! Onward and upward! Detailing session first chance I get!

Bussey
Mental to think that pressure in the head could cause that much of a loss, And what would be needed to get closer to the 500 mark now? Meth injection? Or is the turbo completely maxed out now? Awesome work though Matt

Phil
i was away to ask.. will ricky make a custom baffle for any rocker? you can just get the baffled drilled out and tap the holes to give yourself a removeable baffle. thats what i have. just remember to loctite those bad boys back in lol Phil

Socks
You've got it chaps! ^ Well... This happened last night: Because of this: The box wasn't perfect in the first place, but I think 430bhp finished it off! I already have a spare box being rebuilt. So shouldn't be off the road long I hope... Taking this chance to get my front wings and front bumper painted in MY shade of 040 White. All good fun ehy!
morgey
You are asking an aweful lot from a stock box tbh. What actually failed on it?
Socks
You are asking an aweful lot from a stock box tbh. What actually failed on it? I fully expected it... It wasn't new, non of them are... If I was in 1st and 2nd. Its hard to get 3rd, 4th and 5th. If I use 3rd, 4th and 5th. Its hard to get 1st and 2nd. It wont go into reverse and in 3rd and 5th the gearstick moves about 2 inches on and off power, bit like an engine mount is loose... It jumps out of 3rd... I think that's pretty much summed it up! It didn't completely fail, but I thought I best take it out before I break down and have to get towed home!
